WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins opens up on need for back surgery

1 years ago By Sports Desk

The world of professional wrestling is a stage of fierce competition and high-flying action, where wrestlers often push their bodies to the limit to entertain fans worldwide. However, behind the glitz and glamour, the toll on a wrestler’s body can be immense, with nagging injuries often going unnoticed by fans.

In a candid interview with “Impaulsive,” WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins opened up about his ongoing struggle with injuries, particularly concerning his lower back. Despite knowing that surgery might be necessary, Rollins has been pushing through the pain, trying alternative treatments to keep his body going strong. As fans cheer him on in the ring, Rollins exemplifies the resilience and determination required to succeed in the world of professional wrestling.

Seth Rollins reveals need of back surgery since 2019

In the midst of the wrestling spectacle, Seth Rollins silently contends with a myriad of injuries that are not readily apparent to the audience. He revealed that his knee has been a source of discomfort since before WrestleMania 39, and his neck has also been acting up. However, it’s his lower back that has been particularly troublesome since 2019, possibly requiring surgery due to stress fractures. Rollins’ grit and determination are evident as he strives to manage these challenges without sidelining himself from the ring:

“I try to change my training up based on how I feel. There are constant injuries. My knee has been bugging me since before WrestleMania (39), I was having an issue with that. My neck acting up. My lower back has been at me since 2019, probably should get some surgery on that, but trying to just do whatever I can to make sure I don’t need it because I have a couple of stress fractures back there. I tried some stem cells, I’ve done a couple of stem cell treatments. I found that they were temporarily helpful. I wasn’t taking time off. I wasn’t just idling while I was on the stem cells, I was still working pretty much a full time schedule with WWE. I found it temporarily helpful, but long-term it kind of faded off a little bit. I got maybe four or five months of ‘ooooh, okay.’“

In his quest to avoid surgery, Rollins tried stem cell treatments, hoping for relief from his back troubles. Although the treatments offered temporary assistance, Rollins didn’t take time off during this period, continuing to work tirelessly with WWE. Despite the initial respite, the effects gradually faded over time. This relentless pursuit of finding alternatives while still performing at a high level exemplifies Rollins’ commitment to his craft and the WWE Universe.
