On the latest edition of his podcast, wrestling legend Booker T shared his thoughts on the upcoming SummerSlam card and specifically expressed his excitement for the possibility of Jey Uso defeating Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

For Booker, the storyline of Jey Uso trying to become the “Head of the Table” adds a captivating element to the match. He believes it’s an opportune time for Jey to rise to the occasion and solidify himself as a top-tier talent in WWE. Booker commends WWE for giving Jey this opportunity and sees it as a chance for him to shine.

Booker T wants to see Jey Uso defeat Roman Reigns

If Jey does manage to come out victorious against Roman Reigns, Booker would be immensely proud of his accomplishment. He sees it as a testament to Jey’s hard work and dedication to his craft. Knowing Jey’s journey and seeing him seize the moment would fill Booker with a sense of pride for the wrestler’s achievements. Booker praises both Uso brothers, acknowledging their growth and success in WWE, and feels that Jey’s potential victory over Reigns would be well-deserved recognition of his talent and dedication:

“If Jey did it — you know me, man. I’m going to be proud,” Booker continued. “I’d be like, ‘Wow, man, he did it, man. He stayed the course. He went out there and cashed in. They believed in him, and he didn’t let them down. He went out there and performed.’ That’s what I’m loving about watching the Usos — both of them — go out there and do their thing. I’m serious. Those guys — I’m proud of both of those guys for what they’ve achieved and what they’ve accomplished in WWE.”

Booker also discusses the pressure associated with being in such a prominent position on the roster. He admires how Jey has handled the pressure and embraced the role he’s been given. According to Booker, finding yourself in a significant storyline is just one part of the equation; being able to carry it and excel at that level is what makes it truly special. Booker believes Jey has risen to the challenge and gained the admiration of fans with his exceptional performance.

As SummerSlam approaches, the anticipation for this highly anticipated match between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns continues to grow. Alongside other exciting matches on the card, this clash has captured the attention of fans and fellow wrestlers alike. With Booker T firmly supporting Jey Uso’s potential victory, wrestling enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the outcome at the event on August 5 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
