1 years ago By Sports Desk

After the electrifying SummerSlam event, all eyes are now set on WWE Payback, scheduled for September 2, 2023, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event is already making headlines for being the first Payback since 2020 and the first to occur on both a Saturday and in September. The main card kicks off at 8 PM ET and serves as a prelude to Survivor Series, another of WWE’s “big four” pay-per-views.

How to Watch

In the United States, the event will be streamed live on Peacock, while Australian viewers can catch the action on Binge. Those outside the U.S. can subscribe to the WWE Network’s premium package to enjoy the event. For those without suitable internet speeds, Payback can also be ordered through your cable or satellite provider at a price yet to be confirmed.

Confirmed Fights

World Heavyweight Championship — Seth Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

After a dramatic turn of events where Nakamura betrayed Rollins, the two are set to fight for the World Heavyweight Championship. Nakamura ominously whispered into Rollins’ ear during a recent encounter, causing palpable tension.

Women’s World Championship — Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez

Ripley and Rodriguez have a history of animosity that culminated when Ripley injured Rodriguez’s knee and took down her tag partner, Liv Morgan. Rodriguez is now back, seeking retribution and the championship belt.

Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch (Steel Cage Match)

These two female titans have had a long-standing feud. After Zoey Stark’s interference in their recent matches, a steel cage encounter was scheduled for Payback to settle the score.

United States Championship — Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Austin Theory

Austin Theory won a rematch against Rey Mysterio after defeating LA Knight. This bout promises high-flying action with the U.S. title on the line.

The Miz vs. LA Knight

The feud between The Miz and LA Knight has escalated over the weeks, leading to a much-anticipated showdown at Payback.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (c) vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) Steel City Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

A no-holds-barred Steel City Street Fight will put these two tag teams against each other, a match sure to bring chaos and excitement to the Payback arena.
