WWE NXT Results & Report: Winners, Losers And Analysis – 15 August 2023
15 August’s episode of NXT proved to be a slobber knocker, and it Sure was. We are a week away from the heatwave, and the Superstars want to make as much of an impact as possible. Sources tell us that The North American Champion, Dirty Dom, may lose his gold to hot commodity Mustafa Ali right now. It is usually during this time that Ali goes to another zone, and with Crown Jewel just 2 months away, the high flyer will look to be their Golden Boy should he beat Dirty Dom at Heatwave. But first, let’s look at the results of the night.
Blaire Davenport vs. Dana Brooke (with Kelani Jordan)
Two running knee strikes sealed the deal for Davenport, and she silenced hot-headed Dana Brooke. Kelani Jordan tried her best to stop Brooke from a DQ, but she was quickly counted out with knee strikes for the win. The match did little to establish Dana Brooke, as her anger did little to help her here and, in turn, led to her losing out.
Davenport, on the other hand, is now a clear contender for the title with two important back-to-back wins.
Result: Blaire Davenport picks up the win.
Trick Williams vs. Drew Gulak
Trick Williams is a player. A man who is not short on confidence has gone to new heights with his zeal to show everyone that he can do it without the support of Carmelo Hayes. Trick William sealed the win with Whoop That Trick. Ilja Dragunov was closely monitoring the action, however.
Result: Trick Williamwins.
Wes Lee vs. Dijak
This was surely the match of the night, and what promised to be a physically punishing match lived up immensely to the expectation. What NXT has with Wes Lee and Dijak is pure Gold that will carry the business to new heights. Eddy Thorpe, though, came in with the distraction and helped Wes Lee hit the Corkscrew Senton for the win.
Result: Wes Lee beats Dijak.
Thea Hail vs. Jacy Jayne
Thea Hail needs to Up her game and skills if she is to be taken seriously by fans. Control over one’s emotions and laser focus are what you need during a match. Unfortunately, you may lose it in a long match. That was exactly Hail’s faith when Jacy Jayne rolled her up for a quick 3-count.
Result: Jacy Jayne wins by pinball.
Tyler Bate vs. Joe Coffey
This match seemed like it was only going to be decided by someone poking their nose in and interfering. Dabba-Kato, aka Babatunda, came marching to the ring with his monstrous size and choke-bombed Bate to get Joe Coffey Disqualified .
Result: Bate defeats Coffey by DQ.
