WWE NXT Result And Report For 03 October 2023: Highlight, Match Ratings, Winners And Losers
Welcome to Tuesday Night NXT! Tonight’s NXT episode is live from the WWE Capitol Wrestling/Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The latest episode of NXT kicks off with a recap of the No Mercy event from Saturday.
Becky Lynch makes her entrance and grabs the microphone. She announces, “The Man has come to N-Bex-T!” The champion is met with cheers from the live studio audience as they chant “N-X-T.”
Lynch explains that she is not medically cleared to wrestle following her successful title defense at No Mercy. She points out that her opponent, Tiffany Stratton, is also unavailable to compete tonight because they both gave it their all on Saturday, leaving them battered. Lynch admires the dedication of her opponents and expresses her desire to defend the title with everything she has. She reveals her intention to defend her championship on the first night of the Halloween Havoc special.
Suddenly, Lyra Valkyria interrupts Lynch’s speech and enters the ring. Valkyria shares a personal story from June 2014 when Lynch made her NXT debut, which inspired Valkyria to pursue a wrestling career. She emphasizes Lynch’s significance to Irish wrestling fans and applauds Lynch for her journey to becoming a WrestleMania headliner.
Valkyria expresses her curiosity about standing face-to-face with the champion. Before Lynch can respond, Indi Hartwell interrupts, boasting about herself and claiming she never lost the NXT Women’s Championship. Hartwell declares her return to NXT, seeking to reclaim the title.
Roxanne Perez then makes her entrance, challenging Lynch and vowing to regain her championship at Halloween Havoc. Lynch seizes the moment and books a triple-threat match for the evening, with Lynch joining as a guest commentator. The winner of this three-way match will earn a title shot on the first night of Halloween Havoc.

British Strong Style (Pete “BUTCH” Dunne & Tyler Bate) facing off against Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang).
Dunne and Coffey start the match, with Dunne gaining the upper hand. The match is fast-paced, with tags and double-team moves. In the end,
Results: British Strong Style secured the victory with a double Tyler Driver ’97 on Mark Coffey.
After the match, Joe Coffey and Wolfgang attack Tyler and Pete, but Ridge Holland comes to their rescue.
Backstage, Lyra Valkyria is seen doing pushups.
The show continues with Ilja Dragunov addressing the audience. He proudly claims the NXT Championship after his intense match with Carmelo Hayes at No Mercy. Dragunov acknowledges Trick Williams’ presence and congratulates him on his championship win.
Carmelo Hayes, still nursing injuries, joins the conversation and questions Trick Williams’ association with Dragunov. He emphasizes their history and the importance of defending the title.
Dominik Mysterio enters the scene, and Trick Williams challenges him to a match, taunting him about his reliance on his mother’s advice. Dominik accepts the challenge and expresses his determination to bring the gold back to Judgment Day. Carmelo Hayes warns Trick that he’ll have his back, but Trick is confident in his abilities.
Indi Hartwell vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez (NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Becky Lynch is providing commentary for this match.
Perez and Valkyria quickly team up and throw Hartwell out of the ring! They start with a collar and elbow lockup, with Lyra working a cravate, and Roxanne counters with a European Clutch for a near fall. They continue with a side headlock, followed by a shoulder block, drop down, leapfrog, and a hip toss by Indi. She follows it up with body slams.
Roxanne is sent to the apron, and she receives a big uppercut followed by a boot from Indi. Valkyria is grabbed and set up in the ropes for a similar treatment, leading to a two-count. Perez performs a satellite head scissors to send Indi to the floor. Valkyria meets her with a kick off the ropes, and a wrecking ball dropkick connects. However, Hartwell blocks the second attempt, and the action moves to the outside.
Lyra delivers strikes to both opponents, unleashing combinations. Perez blocks a kick and throws it into Indi. Enzuigiris for Hartwell and Perez, and Roxanne kicks out of a bridging northern lights pin. Indi tries to steal a pin, but Perez kicks out once more. Lyra continues her assault with windmill strikes, and Roxanne is saved from a pin attempt by Kiana James.
Becky Lynch, from the commentary table, gets up and kicks James out of the ring. Meanwhile, Lyra Valkyria leaps off the top rope…
Result: Lyra Valkyria wins by pinfall with a diving splash on Indi Hartwell, becoming the #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.
Post-match, Becky enters the ring to congratulate Lyra.
Tegan Nox appears to remind Lynch that she’s her next opponent.
Bron Breakker has a backstage encounter with Carmelo Hayes. Breakker seems to be playing mind games with Hayes, trying to influence him in some way.
Baron Corbin confronts NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov in a backstage segment. Corbin expresses his determination to win the NXT title and disrespects Dragunov, leaving the champion furious.
Blair Davenport vs. Gigi Dolin
Dolin attacks Davenport during her entrance and continues to beat her down before the match begins.
Once the bell rings, the attack on Davenport persists. Blair manages to climb the top rope and executes a double stomp to Dolin’s back. Dolin responds with a big forearm. They exchange forearm strikes and Dolin counters with a dragon screw. Davenport grabs a chair, but Gigi evades the shot. The action returns to the ring.
Dolin attempts to use the chair, but the referee warns her off, and she drops it. Davenport grabs the chair, but Gigi gets under her…
Result: Gigi Dolin wins by pinfall with a schoolboy pin.
Post-match, Davenport loses her temper and attacks the referee, emphasizing that this isn’t over.
A recap of last year’s NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament is shown.
Kiana James is interviewed backstage and expresses her desire to prove that she’s better than Roxanne Perez. She announces a match for Perez against Asuka next week, with the promise of facing her if she gets through it.
The participants in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament are introduced on the stage: Lola Vice, Dani Palmer, Arianna Grace, Jaida Parker, Jakara Jackson, Karmen Petrovic, Kelani Jordan, and Izzi Dame.
Izzi Dame vs. Kelani Jordan (NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match)
Dame starts with a wristlock, wrenching it, but Jordan reverses it with an Arabian press. Dame sets her up on the second rope and shocks her off it, earning a near fall. Kelani ducks a lariat, catches a big crossbody into a bodyslam, and delivers a corner body avalanche. She follows up with shoulder blocks, a big backbreaker, stomps, elbows, and a seated senton to the back. Kelani has a Canadian backbreaker rack applied, but Jordan won’t submit it. Kelani breaks her grip and sits up, executes a sunset flip, but only gets a two-count. She sidesteps a kick, performs a drop toehold, lands a big arm drag, and connects with a dropkick. Another dropkick is followed by a diving crossbody, but it’s not enough!
Back and forth in the corner, double jump…
Result: Kelani Jordan wins by pinfall with a split-legged moonsault.
A roundup of social media comments sets up an upcoming tag team match.
Duke Hudson and Andre Chase run into Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne backstage. They offer their support to Hail at ringside, but Jayne makes a snide comment about it being like a chaperone. Thea initially declines, but Jayne suggests it’s a good idea, leading a “Chase U” cheer.
Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail
Hail and Lopez start the match. Hail gains the upper hand with a bulldog into a side headlock, which she reverses into head scissors. She follows up with an arm drag, and Lopez slams her. Lopez delivers overhand strikes and an elbow drop. A quick tag is made to Lola, who delivers kicks, an axe kick, and applies a reverse chin lock. Hail fights out, blocks a kick, and executes a dragon screw.
The path is clear for Thea, who crawls for the tag and successfully makes it. Jacy enters the match with clotheslines, a solebutt, a backsplash, and a jumping neckbreaker.
Result: Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail win by submission with a double wristlock from Hail on Elektra Lopez.
Carmelo Hayes is interviewed as he leaves the building. He mentions his match against Bron Breakker next week and shares some words of wisdom he received from John Cena, who will be in his corner for that match.
Dominik Mysterio vs. Trick Williams (c) (NXT North American Championship)
Dominik Mysterio comes out swinging, looking for a strong start, but Trick Williams holds his ground. They exchange moves off the ropes, with Trick delivering a pop-up haymaker just before a commercial break.
Returning from the break, Trick maintains a side headlock. Dominik manages to break free, hits a hard whip, another one, and follows up with a slingshot senton atomico for a close two-count. Dominik goes for the Three Amigos, executes a jumping neckbreaker, and both men are down. Williams counters with a big boot, and Dominik responds with a superkick. He attempts a crossbody, but Trick catches and reverses it into a revolution bodyslam.
Trick continues his assault with boots, lifts Dominik, and hits a big Rock Bottom, but it’s a near fall. Rhea Ripley slides the championship belt into the ring. Dominik uses it to DDT Trick and covers, but Trick kicks out. They exchange quick pins and a catapult, but Trick ends up in the ropes. Dominik hits the 619! He climbs the ropes and delivers a frog splash, but Trick gets his knees up.
Trick charges in, Dominik evades and hits a jumping knee. JD McDonagh runs in, but Dominik knees him too. Damian Priest slides in the briefcase, and the referee takes it. Finn Balor uses one of the tag titles to strike Trick. Dominik takes advantage and hits Trick with a Shadows Over Hell frog splash for the win.
Result: Dominik Mysterio wins by pinfall with a Shadows Over Hell frog splash, becoming the new NXT North American Champion.
Post-match, The Judgment Day is celebrating together the North American Championship win of Dominik.
Paul Heyman takes the mic for a promo. He discusses the upcoming Hayes/Breakker match and mentions that since John Cena keeps interfering with the Bloodline’s business, Roman Reigns has decided to have Heyman guide Bron Breakker up close and in person in his corner next week.
