WWE Makes Waves By Adding More NXT Departures, Bringing The Count To 19 Releases

2 years ago By Sports Desk

On Thursday morning, WWE made some major changes by letting go of several of their superstars after Endeavor’s takeover. Later in the day, there were expectations that more wrestlers from WWE NXT would also be released, following the earlier cuts from the main roster. It seemed like WWE was in a hurry to make these changes.

Here is the confirmed list of WWE NXT departures that were released today:

1. Quincy Elliott
2. Bryson Montana
3. Dana Brooke
4. Mansoor
5. Mace
6. Dabba-Kato (formerly known as Commander Azeez on the main roster)
7. Shanky
8. Yulisa León
9. Daniel McArthur

Adding these NXT releases to the earlier main roster departures, the total count now stands at 19 wrestlers released from both WWE’s Main Roster and NXT.

The earlier Main Roster departures included:

1. Mustafa Ali
2. Emma
3. Elias
4. Top Dolla
5. Rick Boogs
6. Riddick Moss
7. Aliyah
8. Shelton Benjamin
9. Dolph Ziggler
10. Tenille Dashwood

With all 19 releases today, it appears that WWE’s restructuring may be complete for now. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation from WWE or credible sources, but it is widely believed that these are the final cuts following their merger with UFC to create the new publicly traded company, TKO Group Holding.

We’ll have to wait and see if today’s cuts mark the end of the changes or if more releases are in store as the day goes on.

What are your thoughts on the release of all 19 superstars from both the Main and NXT rosters? Which departure surprised you the most, and who would you have liked to see stay with WWE?
