John Cena has made a comeback to WWE, and it looks like he’ll be sticking around for a while. This announcement was made early last week. WWE revealed that the actor and former world champion would appear on SmackDown and WWE Superstar Spectacle in India next week. What’s more, Cena will be back with WWE for the next seven weeks, marking a significant change from his recent focus on acting. This sudden return is attributed to ongoing strikes in Hollywood by actors and writers, who are demanding better terms from film and TV producers.

A recent report reveals that Cena’s return was unexpected, both for him and WWE. It appears that his return materialized because he had no other commitments in the entertainment industry at the moment. If the strike in Hollywood ends soon, Cena’s WWE run will conclude after his scheduled appearances in October. However, there’s a possibility that he might extend his stay if the strike persists. For now, an agreement has been reached for the next seven weeks only.

John Cena has been keeping busy with various on-screen projects. He recently starred in the comedy “Vacation Friends 2,” which premiered on Hulu in August. Additionally, he lent his voice to the character Rocksteady in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” made a cameo as a merman in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster hit “Barbie,” and had a role in “Fast X” earlier this year.

Before his return to WWE, Cena’s last appearance was at Money in the Bank. He appeared before a United Kingdom crowd and hinted at a future WWE WrestleMania in the country, sparking discussions among U.K. politicians and wrestling enthusiasts. Cena also had an interaction with Grayson Waller on the show, delivering a promo and executing an Attitude Adjustment on Waller.

While the exact nature of Cena’s role in the coming weeks remains unknown, in Last night’s episode of Smackdown he did confirm that he will be participating in wrestling matches, He also revealed that he would be the host for tonight’s WWE Payback event. The audience’s response to this news was incredibly positive, but the mood quickly changed when Cena’s rival, Jimmy Uso, interrupted him.

Jimmy Uso wasted no time in making his presence felt. He interrupted Cena’s announcement and didn’t hold back in comparing Cena to Roman Reigns, another prominent WWE superstar.

With tensions running high, Cena and Uso decided to settle their differences in the wrestling ring. The two engaged in an intense showdown, with Cena ultimately delivering his trademark move, the Attitude Adjustment, to Uso. During their confrontation, Uso attempted to land a kick on Cena, but the returning star was ready. He skillfully executed the Attitude Adjustment, showcasing his wrestling prowess.

John Cena’s return to WWE is creating excitement and speculation among fans, and his presence will be a significant part of WWE programming soon. Whether he stays beyond the agreed-upon seven weeks will depend on the resolution of the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.
