A thrilling evening of mixed martial arts action was presented at UFC Fight Night 229 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Grant Dawson and Bobby Green’s fight in the lightweight division served as the main event. Other thrilling contests, though, had spectators on the edge of their seats throughout the evening. JJ Aldrich vs. Montana De La Rosa:

JJ Aldrich and Montana De La Rosa’s women’s flyweight contest served as the evening’s opening act. Vanessa Demopoulos and Kanako Murata competed in a close fight at strawweight. Demopoulos caught Murata’s leg kick in the first round, resulting in a brief clinch and ground exchange. Demopoulos won the round by avoiding damage. In the second round, Demopoulos maintained her aggressive striking, but Murata countered with a leg kick. Nate Maness vs. Mateus Mendonca:

Maness landed a flurry of punches in the final seconds of the first round, forcing the referee to intervene and stop the fight, awarding Maness the TKO victory.

Diana Belbita vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz:

Diana Belbita and Karolina Kowalkiewicz competed in a fast-paced women’s strawweight match. The first round featured some exciting exchanges, with Belbita taking the lead early on. Belbita’s grappling skills propelled Kowalkiewicz back to her feet after she reversed a clinch position. Belbita’s aggression and striking won her the round. Bill Algeo vs. Alexander Hernandez:

Hernandez struggled to find his rhythm, while Algeo displayed razor-sharp boxing skills. Hernandez was more aggressive in the second round, initiating striking exchanges. Bobby Green vs. Grant Dawson (Main Event):

Bobby Green and Grant Dawson fought in the main event, which was highly anticipated. Both fighters began the fight by displaying their striking abilities.
