WWE Raw Result And Report For September 18th: Highlights, Match Ratings, Winners And Losers

WWE Raw this week takes us to Salt Lake City, Utah, where at the Delta Centre, 20000 strong rejoice upon the journey to Fastlane. A lot is on the line as Superstars look to book their tickets for Crown Jewel by making maximum impact on the show. Leading the charge was none other than Dominik Mysterio, whose habit of punching above his weight saw him go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes in what the Judgement Day did make their presence felt. Here’s all the action that took place on this week’s edition of Raw: Dirty Dom had some homework to do before his clash with Dragon Lee for the NXT North American Championship next week on Raw. The Judgement Day member put up a good fight against veteran Cody Rhodes but fell short after Cody Rhodes hit the Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes to pick up the win. Winner: Cody Rhodes In what was a closely fought match between two evenly matched Superstars, Kofi Kingston emerged victorious as he showed resilience and courage to beat Ivar. Kofi surprisingly kicked out of a moonsault and hit trouble in paradise to pick up the victory. Winner: Kofi Kingston Shinsuke Nakamura was in the headlines again as he picked up a DQ victory over high-flyer Ricochet. The match didn’t take long to finish, as a freaked-out Nakamura bought a chair only for it to be used by Ricochet, which the ref noticed and reasonably penalised Ricochet for. Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura What was turning into a 5-star match was stopped due to a statement made by Nia Jax. Nia Jax took out Green and Piper Niven like they were sacks of potatoes. A Samoan drop and a running Senton got the team of Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler disqualified. Winner: Chelsea Green and Piper Niven Bronson Reed just announced himself on the big stage, making easy and early work out of former Olympian Chad Gable. Chad Gable put up a fight but was almost knocked out cold with a tsunami by a man almost twice his size. The Aussie is now impatiently waiting for a title opportunity. Winner: Bronson Ree This match was for the women’s championship. The champion Becky Lynch knows her rival Natalya inside and out. They two have bad blood right from their early days. Becky saw this match as her first title defense after beating Tiffany Stratton. As is the case with Natalya, she came up short and The Man penalised upon that. Winner – Becky Lynch Tommaso Ciampa vs. Giovanni Vinci Giovanni Vinci took on the sleek Tommaso Ciampa with Ludwig Kaiser in his corner. Kaiser had Ciampa distracted all throughout the match, but the veteran used his instincts to pick up the victory over Giovanni Vince via a Sicilian strike. Winner: Tommaso Ciampa Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso Drew McIntyre not winning at Clash at the Castle was pretty much boiled down to the Usos, mainly Jey. Jey Uso took control early on with two suicide drives to McIntyre. He looked to seal it with the Samoan Drop, but McIntyre kicked out in two. McIntyre got back to his kick after he delivered a vicious spine-buster to Jey Uso. Uso saw himself at the receiving end of a Claymore that did the job for The Scottish Warrior. Winner: Drew McIntyre

Gunther Feels Happy After Destroying Chad Gable In Front Of His Family

Gunther showed no sympathy for Chad Gable’s daughter after a video of her crying on WWE RAW became widely popular online. During the RAW episode that aired on September 4th, the Intercontinental Champion successfully defended his title against Gable in the main event. As soon as the match concluded, WWE cameras captured the emotional reaction of Gable’s daughter, who started crying. While WWE was visiting India, Gunther had an interview with Riju Dasgupta from Sportskeeda Wrestling. During this interview, he was asked to share his feelings about the match. Gunther acknowledged the sight of Gable’s daughter in tears and mentioned that he enjoys seeing some heartbreak: “I feel really good after defeating Chad Gable on Raw. I mean, I won, right? So, I’m feeling good. I do find a little satisfaction in causing some heartbreak at the end. I was happy to see Gable’s daughter crying after he lost.” Gunther also discussed breaking the record for the longest reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion in history. He stated that he’s just getting started and intends to use this accomplishment to further build his legacy. Gable also talked in-depth about his recent singles match with Gunther and having his family present, especially addressing how emotional his kids got when he lost: “You can’t make a kid show emotions, even if you tried. Those feelings are genuine. My oldest daughter is the most emotionally connected. They all have different personalities, but she’s the one the world saw crying that night. She understands what her dad does and how it works because I’ve talked to her about it. But even that doesn’t matter. When you’re there, and your child is in front of you, witnessing her dad getting beaten up, it’s going to bring out her emotions. My middle daughter, on the other hand, was more interested in checking how many nachos she had left. The raw emotion my oldest daughter displayed doesn’t happen often anymore. When it occurs naturally and spontaneously, it means so much more. None of it was planned; that’s what made it genuine.” On the most recent episode of Raw, Gable, Otis, and Tommaso Ciampa secured a victory over Imperium, which included Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci. What are your thoughts on Gunther and Chad Gable’s comments after the match? Please share your opinions below.

A former WWE female wrestler is getting ready to come back to the wrestling ring after being away for a long time. The wrestler we’re talking about is Peyton Royce, also known as Cassie Lee. Peyton Royce hasn’t been in the wrestling ring for quite a while. Her last match was at the Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion event on April 23, 2022. On that night, Cassie Lee, along with Jessie McKay, lost a match for the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship to Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood. After a lengthy break from wrestling, Cassie Lee, the former WWE Superstar, is making her return to the ring next month. She will be back in action on October 6, 2023, in Melbourne, Australia. She shared this exciting news on her official Instagram page. Cassie Lee is coming back to the ring after being away for nearly 18 months. Her return is in partnership with the Australian wrestling promotion called World Series Wrestling. They have several Full Throttle shows scheduled for October. Her return match will take place on October 6 in Melbourne, Australia. Cassie Lee, previously known as Peyton Royce, was released by WWE two years ago. She and her former WWE partner, Billie Kay (Jessie McKay), were known as the tag team, The IIconics. Together, they held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from April to August 2019, winning the titles at WrestleMania 35 in a Fatal Four Way match. Lee was among the wrestlers released by World Wrestling Entertainment on April 15, 2021. Her tag team partner, Billie Kay, was also let go by the company. In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Cassie Lee expressed her shock at their WWE release, saying, “It was a shock because they do budget cuts once a year, but they hadn’t done it in a while. I didn’t see it coming, maybe I should have, especially because I wasn’t doing much after they split us up.” The IIconics later joined Impact Wrestling, where they adopted the name The IInspiration. However, in April 2022, they requested to be released from the promotion. Cassie Lee is married to All Elite Wrestling star Shawn Spears. Last August, they announced that they were expecting their first child. Their son, Austin Jay Arneill, was born on January 17, 2023. Shawn Spears recently had a match in AEW on September 3 during the “Zero Hour” segment of the All Out pay-per-view. He participated in the Over Budget Charity Battle Royal, which was won by “Hangman” Adam Page. Spears is also set to be part of the World Series Wrestling Full Throttle events. Rhea Ripley, the current WWE Women’s World Champion, has recently shared her wishlist of male WWE superstars she’d like to face in the wrestling ring. Her choices, which may come as a surprise to some, reflect her fearless attitude and desire to challenge the traditional norms of the wrestling world. She expressed her eagerness to step into the ring with the luchador icon, believing that a match between them would be spectacular. Since joining the RAW faction, Dominik has often found himself at odds with his father, Rey Mysterio, and they even squared off at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year. Ripley’s comments about a potential match against Rey Mysterio inside the ring were covered on Wrestling World CC’s Twitter handle, sparking various reactions from fans. Some fans suggested that Randy Orton should come out of his hiatus to face Ripley, citing his history of attacking female stars. Another fan proposed a match between Rey and Ripley for custody of Dominik, drawing parallels to Rey’s legendary bout against Eddie Guerrero in 2005. Some fans even wished for Randy Orton to return and deliver his signature RKO to Dirty “Dom” and Ripley. Others expressed their desire to see Ripley take on Solo Sikoa and suggested that The Eradicator face off against Jade Cargill, who was rumored to make her WWE debut soon. WWE’s International Odyssey In recent times, WWE has been expanding its horizons beyond the United States, hosting premium live events across the globe. From the Elimination Chamber in Canada to Backlash in Puerto Rico, Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, and Money in the Bank in the United Kingdom, WWE has been on a mission to bring its brand of sports entertainment to fans worldwide. Now, it seems the wrestling giant has its sights set on Australia, a country with a dedicated and passionate wrestling fan base. As he entered, the venue buzzed with anticipation, and a confrontation seemed inevitable. Enter Austin Theory, the new-generation wrestler who dared to challenge the returning legend. The audacity of Theory to interrupt the beloved Pat McAfee left the audience gasping. But it was The Rock’s iconic move, the People’s Elbow, that left fans cheering and Theory reeling. However, the episode wasn’t just about confrontations and finishing moves. It was also about reunion, respect, and recognition. This relationship has been nurtured over years of thrilling matches, iconic promos, and unforgettable moments. Johnson’s gratitude towards his fans was clear in his words. This bond is what makes his appearances so special, turning every event into an electrifying spectacle. With such a powerful return, fans are left wondering what’s next for The Rock in the WWE universe. Will he continue to make surprise appearances, or is there something bigger on the horizon? Only time will tell. However, one thing is certain: whenever The Rock decides to “come home” to WWE, he’ll always be greeted with the same thunderous applause and unparalleled love from ‘The People.’

Triple H Makes Surprising Appearance on Showtime’s ‘Billions’

Triple H

When worlds collide, magic happens. This was certainly the case in the latest episode of Showtime’s critically acclaimed series “Billions.” Fans of the business drama were treated to an unexpected crossover with the world of professional wrestling, as WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H stepped onto the scene. The moment unfolds at the iconic Barclays Center, home to countless historic WWE Raw events. Viewers saw the character Chuck Rhoades, masterfully brought to life by Paul Giamatti, striding purposefully through an eerily silent arena. Alongside him, Triple H, a figure as iconic as the venue itself, is known as much for his in-ring exploits as for his astute business acumen. It’s a juxtaposition that becomes the focus of their conversation. Rhoades, ever inquisitive, posed a thought-provoking question to the wrestling legend. He wondered aloud if the sensation Triple H experiences when entering the ring differed now that he’s primarily behind the scenes. In true Triple H fashion, the wrestling legend drew upon his decades of experience, noting the unmatched thrill that the roar of the crowd brings, regardless of one’s role in the spectacle. The rush remains the same, whether one’s involved in the action, the business decisions, or the storytelling. He conveyed that once you’re captivated by the audience’s energy, it never truly leaves you. The exchange then delved into strategy, a fitting subject given Rhoades’ penchant for political maneuvering. He presented a challenge, hoping to pivot two individuals’ perceptions – one from a villain to a hero and vice versa. Triple H, drawing from the wrestling world’s lexicon, suggested a “double turn.” A complex and high-stakes move, it involves an intricate dance of crowd reactions, with the initial villain drawing ire before the hero swoops into rapturous applause. It’s a storytelling technique as old as time, but in wrestling, its execution demands finesse and perfect timing. It’s worth noting that Triple H isn’t the first from the wrestling world to make an appearance on “Billions.” The series has previously integrated other wrestlers, showcasing the compelling parallel between the ruthless world of high finance and the dramatic flair of professional wrestling. Both domains demand strategy, foresight, and the ability to read and captivate an audience. The inclusion of a figure as renowned as Triple H is a testament to the growing intersection of entertainment genres. Wrestling, once dismissed as mere “sports entertainment,” is increasingly being recognized for its cultural impact and the complexities of its narratives. It’s a testament to how far the industry has come and how its leading figures, like Triple H, have played instrumental roles in its elevation. As the credits rolled on this memorable “Billions” episode, viewers were left with a profound appreciation for the nuances of both worlds. The wrestling ring and the boardroom might seem worlds apart, but as Rhoades and Triple H proved, they share more in common than one might think.

WWE Raw Preview And Prediction: How, When And Where To Watch In USA, Europe And India – 18th September 2023

WWE RAW

The world of WWE is set to witness another electrifying episode of RAW on the 18th of September, as rivalries intensify and storylines unravel. Here’s a detailed look into what to expect and where to catch the action across the USA, Europe, and India. To begin with, the curtain is drawing on a rivalry that has managed to grip the fans over the past weeks. The dynamic duo, New Day, is all set to take on the Viking Raiders in a thrilling 2 out of 3 falls match. This particular bout holds significance, given the history of their previous encounters. It was merely three weeks ago when the Viking Raiders emerged victorious, courtesy of an unforeseen interference by Drew McIntyre, which inadvertently led to New Day’s defeat. This time around, the question that lingers is if New Day can channel their energy, regroup, and score a decisive win against their fierce opponents. Adding to the excitement, Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio are primed to renew their intense rivalry. The recent spark was ignited when Dominik took the opportunity to express his gratitude towards Cody for bringing Jey Uso into the RAW fray. However, a seemingly harmless flick of Cody’s tie by Dominik spiraled into an unexpected skirmish between the two. Things took a further twist when JD McDonagh attempted to assist Cody, but in a shocking move, Cody retaliated with a Crossrhodes on JD. Now, the WWE universe awaits with bated breath for their singles match showdown this Monday. With Cody having the psychological edge from their previous bout at Money in the Bank, will history repeat itself, or will Dominik turn the tables this time? While the attention remains high on Cody and Dominik, there’s an equally engaging narrative unfolding between Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricochet. Nakamura, who has been locking horns with the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, seems to have found a parallel adversary in Ricochet. Whereas, Nakamura has already lost to Seth Rollins in the WWE Payback. But Seth wants a rematch, as he talked about Seth’s wife and kids. But after the challenge, Nakamura redirected his aggression towards a backstage attack on Ricochet. Offering a justification for his actions, Nakamura stated Rollins was medically not fit for combat, prompting him to seek out another target for the week. Now, Ricochet is geared up for retribution as he squares off against Nakamura on RAW. The stakes are high, and the animosity is palpable. Lastly, a confrontation that’s been the talk of the town is the faceoff between Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre is already fed up with the Bloodline as they have missed the opportunity to win the World Title against Roman Reigns. So the match won’t be easy for Jey Uso. McIntyre, who harbors a deep-seated mistrust for Uso, is no stranger to the intensity and pressure of such confrontations. As Jey Uso steps into the ring, he doesn’t just battle McIntyre, but also the weight of proving his mettle as “The Main Event”. Will Uso rise to the occasion, or will the former WWE Champion, McIntyre, reign supreme? For viewers in America, WWE Monday Night Raw will be broadcast live from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET on the USA Network. European fans, specifically in the UK, can catch the live action on BT Sport 1, which airs the event at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. Indian WWE enthusiasts have multiple viewing options. They can tune in to Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 1 HD channels at 5.30 AM every Tuesday morning. Additionally, premium users can access the event live on the WWE Network. The event is also available for streaming on platforms like Sony Liv, Jio TV, and Airtel TV. Catering exclusively to the Hindi-speaking audience, WWE Raw is broadcast with Hindi commentary on Sony Ten 3. WWE has always been known for its unpredictable nature, and this RAW promises to be no different. With rivalries reaching their climax and new ones budding, fans worldwide will undoubtedly be glued to their screens come the 18th of September.
