Ric Flair Says He Wants To Wrestle Once Again

8 months ago By Sports Desk

Wrestling legend Ric Flair has recently made a big announcement that have shocked all the wrestling world. He has once again decided to have one more match in the ring. Despite having what was termed as his “Last Match” a year ago, Flair, at the age of 74, is eager to experience the adrenaline and excitement of wrestling once more.

During his appearance on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Flair shared his renewed passion and zest for wrestling. He said that he wanted to get in the ring again and wrestle. He added that Ricky Morton is still in the company and Flair thinks that he would be a great fit for a match with Ric Flair. Flair went on to describe the boost he got when prepping for his previous bout, saying, “I forced myself to get in shape. Having a goal made all the difference. Despite my age, I was training three hours a day, five days a week. I even managed to get my bench press up to two and a quarter.”

The memories of Ric Flair’s ‘Last Match’ are still fresh in his mind. He expressed all his feelings about his last match. He was elated to be back in the ring but also experienced a spell of light-headedness that had a significant impact on his performance. “We had an audience of 9,000 which was a bigger crowd than WCW or WWE had seen in that arena for a long time. Everything started off perfectly. But then, out of the blue, I felt light-headed,” said Flair.

He explained the misunderstanding that followed his bout of dizziness, “I made the mistake of mentioning my discomfort to one of the guys. They immediately assumed it was something serious like my heart. That made me even more anxious, and my dizziness intensified during the match.”

Despite the challenges, Flair tried his best to stay present and committed to the match. Recounting the moments after the match, he said, “I felt bad for making everyone worry about my health. We had such an incredible match planned. If everything went as we had practised, it would have been one of the best. But the reality was different. After the match, Undertaker made sure I drank three Gatorades for hydration. And then, I went off to hang out with Kid Rock and we drank all night.”

Flair also brought to light some changes that had to be made during the match due to his condition. Although he and the other participants had practised several spots and sequences, a few of them had to be removed for safety reasons. “There were certain moves we had to abandon. Everyone was concerned for my well-being. I even had to pretend to have a heart attack to slow things down,” Flair revealed.

A particularly poignant moment was when his son-in-law, Andrade, had to assist him. Flair remembered, “Andrade had to place the brass knuckles in my hand. He kept urging me to stay alert. It was quite an experience.”

In conclusion, Ric Flair’s recent revelations provide a deep insight into the dedication and passion he holds for wrestling, irrespective of his age. His unyielding spirit, even after experiencing such challenges in his “Last Match,” only goes to show the depth of his love for the sport. Fans all around the world are eagerly waiting to see if the wrestling legend will indeed make a return to the ring. Whether it’s just a fleeting wish or a serious consideration, only time will tell. Regardless of his decision, Flair’s legacy in the wrestling world remains unparalleled.
