WWE Raw before Payback on August 28 moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where at the FedEx Forum, The Ring General came out all jacked with popped-up collars. Gunther mentioned how no superstar had beaten him in over a year’s time and wanted every piece of Chad Gable moving into Payback.

Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch had some time before they could settle their beef once and for all. Prior to their steel cage match at WWE inside a steel cage, Becky Lynch was scheduled to face Zoey Stark. Let’s take a quick look at all that happened last night on Raw:

  1. The New Day vs. the Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders are one of the most effective tag teams in the business. Their caveman tactics helped them get a win over the new day. Though Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle were both ringside, they could do very little before the Viking Raiders pinned Kofi Kingston.

  1. Chad Gable vs. Ludwig Kaiser

The incredible strength and agility of Chad Gable were on display as he defeated Ludwig Kaiser of the Imperium. A tilt-whirl slam, a rolling belly-to-belly and a series of arm drags show why Chad Gable is considered one of the best in the business.

A distraction from Giovanni Vinci gave Gable the win via DQ.

  1. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Bronson Reed

Tommaso Ciampa overcame one of his toughest tests to date as he went one-on-one against Bronson Reed. The physical contents ended when Ciampa hit the crucifix.

  1. Damien Priest vs. Sami Zayn

Big Damien Priest picked up the victory over Sami Zayn in a close contest. Even with Kevin Owen by his side, the Puerto Rican proved to be too much for Zayn.
