Tony Khan just made AEW the measuring stick of the industry. Not so long ago, the McMahons held an iron fist over wrestling and almost controlled every aspect of it. Khan proved to be too much for the organisation, as he was an emperor himself, owning multiple sports franchises. Tony Khan at AEW showed something Shane McMahon could never achieve.

The record for the most fans at a paid PPV wrestling show has just been broken by All In for their show in London. London is not only the capital of England, but the cosmopolitan city is also a centre for education and trade for the entire world. Wrestling organisations have understood this arithmetic and look to profit most from this boom in the UK.

It remains to be seen whether Wrestlemania will do better next year, but as of now, WWE’s monopoly over sports entertainment does not stand.
