MJF Becomes The Longest Reigning Champion In AEW History

1 years ago By Sports Desk

On November 1, a monumental moment in the world of professional wrestling occurred as MJF officially became the longest reigning champion in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) history, holding the AEW World Championship for an astounding 347 days. This record-breaking reign showcases MJF’s dominance, skill, and charisma in the squared circle, cementing his legacy as one of the all-time greats in AEW.

MJF, whose real name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, is known for his brash and confident personality, often referring to himself as a “generational talent.” He certainly lived up to that moniker by capturing the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2022 on November 19, 2022. Since then, MJF has been unstoppable, successfully defending his title against a who’s who of professional wrestling’s elite.

Over the course of the year, MJF has faced several superstars in the ring. He has defeated all the best wrestlers in the world which includes, including Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, Adam Cole, Sammy Guevara, Jack Perry, Samoa Joe, and Ethan Page. All the matches of MJF were against the best wrestlers who posed a unique challenge to him. But MJF were on top of his time and he has been champion for around 347 days now.

Most recently, MJF squared off against Kenny Omega on the October 28 episode of AEW Collision. Omega, a former AEW World Champion himself and one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, was looking to reclaim the gold and stop MJF from breaking his record for the longest title reign in AEW history. However, MJF had other plans and defeated Omega in a thrilling match to retain the AEW World Championship, ensuring that he would surpass “The Cleaner” and make history.

One of the most significant moments of MJF’s reign came when he headlined AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, one of the most prestigious venues in the world. In front of thousands of fans, MJF put on a show-stealing performance, defeating Adam Cole to retain the AEW World Championship. This match solidified MJF’s status as a main event player and showed that he could deliver on the biggest stage.

While MJF’s reign has been historic and filled with memorable moments, he is not resting on his laurels. The champion has a busy schedule ahead of him with two big title matches on the horizon. On the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF will team up with three partners to take on Bullet Club Gold in what is sure to be a high-octane tag team match.

Additionally, at AEW Full Gear, MJF will pull double duty, defending both the ROH World Tag Team Championship with a mystery partner against The Gunns and putting the AEW World Championship on the line against Jay White. These matches present a huge challenge for MJF, but if his past performances are any indication, he will rise to the occasion and continue to cement his legacy as one of the greatest champions in AEW history.

With his new achievement, MJF has continued to set the standards for his excellence. He can also be Roman Reigns for the AEW who has the ability to lift the championship for 1100+ days. his confidence, skills and in-ring ability can lead him to get to this achievement.

In closing, MJF’s record-breaking reign as AEW World Champion is a testament to his talent, dedication, and hard work. He has faced and overcome every challenge that has come his way, solidifying his place in the history books as the longest-reigning champion in AEW history. Whether you love him or hate him, there is no denying that MJF is a once-in-a-generation talent, and his historic title reign will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to MJF on this incredible achievement.
