LA Knight Set To Make His Return In Tonight’s Episode Of WWE Smackdown
If you’re eager to see LA Knight back on TV, don’t miss tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown is set to ramp up the excitement for Fastlane 2023, which is just a few days away. Additionally, it will continue the ongoing Bloodline Saga, with John Cena and LA Knight playing crucial roles.
WWE is ready to bring one of its top stars back for tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown in Sacramento, California.
According to reports from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, LA Knight is expected to make his return on SmackDown. Last week, he was supposed to be a significant part of an angle alongside John Cena, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa. Unfortunately, Knight tested positive for COVID-19 and had to leave the venue.
In the segment from last week, he was meant to come to Cena’s rescue, setting up a tag team match between Knight and Cena against Solo and Jimmy at Fastlane next Saturday. This match will likely be officially announced on tonight’s show.
Originally, the plan was to build towards a match pitting John Cena and LA Knight against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane on October 7. Due to LA Knight’s unavailability, the company had announced a Handicap Match with Cena facing The Bloodline alone. However, it’s expected that Knight will be added to the match tonight, given his ability to return in time for the premium live event.
Cena and LA Knight have been connected on WWE TV since the 16-time world champion’s return in August. Cena served as the special guest referee for LA Knight’s match against The Miz at Payback. After Knight secured the victory, Cena showed his support by raising Knight’s hand on the entrance ramp to a thunderous ovation.
Other confirmed matches for SmackDown tonight include WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio taking on Santos Escobar, Charlotte Flair facing Bayley, and the Grayson Waller Effect featuring Bobby Lashley.
