Kevin Owens Returns To Action After WWE SmackDown Following A Rib Injury

1 years ago By Jhon Woug

Kevin Owens returned from a rib injury on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. KO got his opportunity to return to action on home soil, and the fans erupted at his arrival as he walked out to shoulder another proud son, Edge. The Rated R Superstar had delivered an emotional speech and was making his way out of the ring after addressing the fans, only to be welcomed by The Imperium. Gunther, who considers himself the top dog on the brand, came out with his monstrous persona. Everything the WWE wanted in Vladimir Kozlov, they have in Gunther.

Kevin Owens returned after a long rest, and with his credibility, he was immediately sent out to the big leagues. He wrestled a dark match against the Imperium as he teamed up with Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn. KO has always stood up for what he believes in and proved people wrong.

KO Beats John Cena

At one point, the sole desire of this superstar was to have a one-on-one match with Big Match John because his son was a big John Cena fan. To everyone’s astonishment, he did beat John Cena, while he was NXT Champion and not on the main roster, Clean.

Edge may be close to his end and has hinted that he himself is unsure of his return. Life may have just come full circle for the Rated R superstar, but for his Canadian colleague, it still has a lot, if not many, years left on the clock. If reports are to be believed, WWE will immediately place Kevin Owens in the title picture against The Ring General. Should Drew McIntyre not get his opportunity to face Gunther, Kevin Owens stands first in line to do the honours.

The Canadian Superstar is also expected to ignite his feud once again with The Tribal Chief, this time with Owens looking to have the Tribal Chief’s number. Crown Jewel is when Roman Reigns is out of his cage, and if Owens can make an impact similar to the one he made this week on Smackdown, there will be no denying him. Reportedly, Vince McMahon is not a huge fan of Kevin Owens, but to Triple H, he is all money. HHH has always held KO in high regard. Reportedly, it was his decision to bring back Kevin Owen before Payback so that Hunter may execute his vision to push the dad-bod Superstar where he belongs.
