Edge Debut At AEW Gains Over 10 Million Social Media Views In 24 Hours

Edge (Adam Copeland) left WWE over a month ago. Since then, many fans wondered where he would go next. There were whispers and talks, but nothing was sure. Then, on Sunday night Edge surprised everyone in the Wrestling world by showing up in All Elite Wrestling. He entered the AEW during the pay-per-view event, WrestleDream. This was a huge moment in the AEW. The proof of this is that it gained over 10 million Social Media views in 24 hours.

Also, getting a star like Edge is a big win for AEW. Many people think of Edge as one of the best wrestlers. So, seeing him in a different place than WWE was a shock for many fans.

After the TNT Championship match ended, things took a wild turn. Christian Cage, a former WWE wrestler, had won against Darby Allin. But instead of enjoying his victory, he started attacking Allin and Sting. Just when things looked really bad for Allin and Sting, Edge’s famous song, “Metalingus”, began playing. The arena was filled with loud cheers and excitement. Fans knew what that song meant. Edge was here!

Edge walked out, and the place went wild. Christian Cage, seeing his former tag team partner from WWE days, looked very surprised. Edge then helped Allin and Sting, saving them from Cage’s attacks. This hints that Edge and Cage might soon be rivals in AEW, even though they were once teammates in WWE.

After the show, there was more news. Edge was seen with Tony Khan, the president of AEW. Khan had some big things to share. He said that Edge, or Adam Copeland, was now officially a part of AEW. Not just for one or two matches, but as a full-time star. This means that fans can look forward to seeing Edge every week! Khan also shared that Edge’s first AEW match would be against Luchasaurus on October 10. Plus, Edge would be on the AEW Dynamite show on Wednesday.

Edge, now 49 years old, shared his thoughts about joining AEW. He said he joined because he wanted to help and felt that AEW was the right place for him. He mentioned that AEW has many wrestlers he hasn’t faced before. He’s excited about these new challenges. Edge’s daughter even told him she wanted to see him wrestle against Cage again. “There are so many possibilities here. At this point in my career, that’s very exciting,” Edge shared.

Edge’s last match in WWE happened in Toronto, his hometown, in August. After that, people were not sure what he would do next. He had an offer from WWE. It was waiting for him, but he was not sure if he should accept it.

He also spoke about leaving WWE on social media. Edge said he spent 25 years with WWE and he loves them. WWE made him a star and gave him great chances to shine. He even met his wife because of WWE. But over time, things changed. Edge felt he and WWE were moving in different directions. He wanted to do more and felt WWE didn’t have much left for him. But he’s still thankful for everything.

Edge told fans that they don’t need to pick sides. They can enjoy both AEW and WWE. He hopes fans are excited about this new chapter in his life. And he has a message for them. “If you liked watching me before, you can still do that. No matter where I am. I promise to give my best every time I’m in the ring. This adventure is not over. Let’s have fun. Because I’ll be having fun in the AEW ring,” he said.

So, what does all this mean? For wrestling fans, it’s a very exciting time. Edge’s move to AEW adds more thrill to the world of wrestling. And with big matches planned, the future looks great for AEW and for Edge.
