Drew Mcintyre joins Dave Bautista and Ice Cube on the cast of “The Killer’s Game”
Drew McIntyre, the WWE superstar and former champion, is set to miss an upcoming episode of “WWE Raw” due to his involvement in an action film titled “The Killer’s Game.” This news comes as PWInsider reports McIntyre’s casting alongside renowned rapper Ice Cube and former WWE star Dave Bautista.
“The Killer’s Game” centers around Bautista’s character, a hitman who, upon discovering he is terminally ill, takes the drastic step of putting a contract out on himself. However, when he later learns that the diagnosis was incorrect, he must confront and defend himself against the assassins he initially hired. The film has been in development for some time, with Bautista attached to the project since at least 2019. Director JJ Perry, known for his work on the recent Jamie Foxx film “Daybreak,” is set to direct.

Directed by J.J. Perry, “The Killer’s Game” also features renowned actors such as Sofia Boutella, Scott Adkins, and Ben Kingsley. While the specifics of McIntyre’s role in the film have yet to be revealed, his involvement in this star-studded production adds to the movie’s anticipation.
While Drew McIntyre’s role in the film has yet to be revealed, it is intriguing to imagine the WWE star joining the cast as a hired killer going after Bautista’s character. McIntyre’s experience in the supernatural television series “The Cursed” is his sole acting credit to date. Nonetheless, the prospect of seeing him showcase his talents on the big screen alongside notable names is undoubtedly exciting for both wrestling and movie fans alike.
McIntyre’s involvement in “The Killer’s Game” comes after a significant hiatus from in-ring action following this year’s WrestleMania. His return occurred at Money in the Bank on July 1, where he confronted WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER after his match against Matt Riddle.
Mcintyre recently made a triumphant return after a three-month hiatus. He re-emerged at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 and confronted Intercontinental Champion Gunther, igniting a rivalry between the two. Impactful performances, including a victory alongside Matt Riddle against Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of The Imperium on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw have marked McIntyre’s return.
