Canelo Alvarez Makes Shocking Revelation About Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis

2 years ago By Sports Desk

Canelo Alvarez recently made a shocking claim about the highly anticipated Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis boxing match. The Mexican pugilist claimed he knew nothing about it and couldn’t be bothered with celebrity boxing.

Danis is set to make his highly-awaited combat sports return against Paul in the squared circle on October 14 at the Misfits X DAZN: The Prime Card event in Manchester. Their bout will be one-half of the headlining event, with KSI vs. Tommy Fury competing as the other half. Given their notoriety in the world of social media influencing, this event is undoubtedly the biggest celebrity boxing event of the year.

While many eagerly look forward to watching Danis go up against Paul, it seems Canelo Alvarez is not interested. The undisputed super-middleweight champion recently spoke to the NELK Boys on a podcast. Upon being asked for his thoughts on the event, Canelo Alvarez claimed that he didn’t use his phone much and, hence, had no idea that Logan Paul and Dillon Danis were set to face each other in a boxing match.

Canelo Alvarez shocked many after admitting that he didn’t use social media much. However, perhaps it’s for the best that he stays away from his phone, considering his upcoming bout against Jermell Charlo. Alvarez is set to face the undisputed light middleweight champion on September 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Mexican star has an impressive pro record of 59-2-2. He has defeated some of the biggest names in boxing, including Gennadiy Golovkin, Sergey Kovalev, and Billy Joe Saunders. In comparison, ‘Iron Man’ boasts a record of 35-1-1, with victories over notable fighters such as Brian Carlos Castano, Tony Harrison, and Austin Trout.

As for the Dillon Danis vs. Logan Paul bout, it remains to be seen if the fight goes ahead. Considering the Bellator fighter’s past record of pulling out, we can never be sure. Even so, Paul is a heavy favorite going into the fight.
