WWE Is Looking To Bring WWE Elimination Chamber To Australia

WWE Elimination Chamber To Australia

The world of professional wrestling is once again gearing up for a major global showcase, and this time, the land down under is in WWE’s sights. Reports suggest that WWE is seriously considering bringing the electrifying WWE Elimination Chamber event to Australia, marking a significant milestone for wrestling fans in the country. Here’s everything you need to know about WWE’s potential move and what it could mean for the Australian wrestling community. WWE’s International Odyssey In recent times, WWE has been expanding its horizons beyond the United States, hosting premium live events across the globe. From the Elimination Chamber in Canada to Backlash in Puerto Rico, Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, and Money in the Bank in the United Kingdom, WWE has been on a mission to bring its brand of sports entertainment to fans worldwide. Now, it seems the wrestling giant has its sights set on Australia, a country with a dedicated and passionate wrestling fan base. Optus Stadium: The Chosen Venue According to reports by The West Australian, WWE is currently in the advanced stages of planning a premium live event set to take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, in early 2024. While the event has yet to be officially confirmed, it’s believed that WWE is just days away from making the announcement. The timing of this event is significant, as it’s expected to be part of the Road to WrestleMania 40, set to occur in March 2024. The Optus Stadium, known for its impressive seating capacity of around 70,000, is likely to provide an unforgettable stage for WWE’s high-octane action. Behind-the-Scenes Negotiations This isn’t the first time WWE has explored the possibility of hosting a major event in Australia. Earlier this year, WWE officials, including the prominent figure Stephanie McMahon, reportedly visited the country to discuss the logistics of such a big event. The groundwork laid by organizations like UFC has paved the way for WWE’s potential visit to Australia. In 2023, UFC hosted UFC 284 at Perth’s RAC Arena, an event that garnered significant attention. Logan Paul, known for his involvement in WWE, visited Perth to promote his Prime brand as the official sponsor of UFC. Tourism Minister Roger Cook even expressed his enthusiasm for WWE’s return to Western Australia, highlighting the positive impact UFC had on the region. A Promising Future for Australian Wrestling Fans For Australian wrestling enthusiasts, this potential WWE event represents an exciting development. The last time WWE held a major show in Australia was in 2018 with WWE Super Showdown. Following that successful event, Stephanie McMahon acknowledged Australia’s deserving status as a host for significant WWE events in the future. As speculation swirls around the 2024 Elimination Chamber potentially finding its home in Australia, fans can’t help but be hopeful for the opportunity to witness their favorite WWE Superstars up close and personal. If the event comes to fruition, it could mark a historic moment in Australian wrestling history, solidifying the country’s place on the global wrestling stage. WWE’s journey to Australia may be in its early stages, but the prospect of WWE Elimination Chamber gracing Australian shores has fans buzzing with anticipation. The official announcement, when it arrives, will undoubtedly send shockwaves through the wrestling community, both in Australia and around the world. Wrestling fans, mark your calendars for what could be an unforgettable night of body slams, high-flying action, and electrifying drama, all under the Australian night sky.

The Rock’s WWE Smackdown Return Gets Over 103 MILLION Social Views

Rock's WWE Smackdown Return

In the world of professional wrestling, few names resonate as powerfully as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. A true icon in WWE history, The Rock sent shockwaves through the wrestling universe with his unexpected return during the September 15th episode of SmackDown. This comeback was more than just a moment; it was a seismic event that reverberated across not just the arena but also through the vast landscape of social media. On that electrifying Friday evening, The Rock made his presence felt by crashing a confrontation between Pat McAfee and Austin Theory. Unsurprisingly, the Hollywood superstar wasted no time in getting physical, unleashing a bone-rattling spinebuster on Theory before sealing the deal with his legendary finishing move, the “People’s Elbow.” The response from the Denver, Colorado crowd was nothing short of thunderous, greeting The Rock with a reception that could only be described as monumental. A Social Media Explosion The digital world was no less enthralled. Videos related to The Rock’s triumphant return generated millions of views, offering a glimpse into the global impact of his reappearance. According to WWE, the video showcasing The Rock’s return amassed a staggering 103 million views across all WWE social media platforms in just 24 hours. WWE couldn’t contain its excitement, tweeting, “TheRock’s #SmackDown return has been viewed over 103 MILLION times!” To put this into perspective, as of September 17th, the 13-minute segment featuring The Rock’s return had already racked up over 3.4 million views on YouTube alone. Additionally, a backstage video featuring The Rock alongside fellow WWE legend John Cena tallied an impressive 1.5 million views. Even a video capturing The Rock’s entrance solo garnered a robust 803,000 views on the platform. In contrast, the most-watched video from that SmackDown episode, which didn’t involve The Rock, highlighted Santos Escobar’s plea for a US Title match and garnered 356,000 views. These numbers underscore the unparalleled magnetism and draw of The Rock. Future Speculations and High Anticipation The Rock’s unexpected return has sparked fervent discussions and speculations within the wrestling community. Foremost among these speculations is the possibility of a headline match between The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in April. While previous plans for this colossal clash may have been shelved, the anticipation for such an epic showdown remains sky-high. The mere thought of these two titans locking horns in the squared circle has sent shockwaves of excitement throughout the WWE universe, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further developments in The Rock’s electrifying return saga.

CM Punk Plays With The Possibility Of Returning To WWE

WWE CM Punk

The world of professional wrestling received a big shake several days ago when All Elite Wrestling reported the dismissal of CM Punk. A committee external to the company extended the decision a few days after learning of the altercation between The Best in the World and Jack Perry backstage at AEW All In London. The days after the event witnessed a series of solid rumours that pointed to the possibility of seeing the fighter return to WWE. Endeavour’s purchase of the company would have built a bridge that would connect CM Punk with the sports entertainment company, setting the course for a return from now on. The Best in the World’s radio silence regarding his present and future became noise a few hours ago when the former world champion returned to his usual commentating role at Cage Fury Fighting Championships. The first moments of CFFC 115 saw John Morgan joking about the situation of his partner: “Guess who they expelled from backstage? It’s my colleague, CM Punk, who is here under investigation.” Will CM Punk return at the WWE Survivor Series? Laughter among colleagues continued around the broadcasts on UFC Fight Pass. Commentators even joked about the possibility of taking advantage of his free time to do a program after MMA events. “You can count on me if you want, I have some free time, I will be unemployed for more or less two months,” said CM Punk. The fighter’s statements powerfully aroused attention. Wrestling fans began theorizing about an appearance at Survivor Series 2023, which will take place on November 25 in Chicago, Illinois, CM Punk’s hometown. The time distance to the Premium Live Event corresponds to what was mentioned by The Second City Straight Edge. The future of The Best in the World remains a mystery to this day. However, rumours indicate that the fighter could continue to be linked to professional wrestling in some way or another. If it had not become WWE, other companies would have been enthusiastic about giving a home to the former world champion. The coming weeks could bring more news regarding the future of CM Punk.

The Rock Pens An Emotional Message After Returning At WWE Smackdown Last Week: “I’m So Grateful”

The Rock

Wrestling enthusiasts were in for a treat during the recent episode of WWE SmackDown, when none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stepped back into the ring, marking his triumphant return to the arena he once dominated. Fans from all corners of the globe tuned in, eager to witness what would unfold with the return of “The Great One.” Last week’s WWE SmackDown had The Rock making his way back to the wrestling spotlight, and the wrestling world couldn’t have been more ecstatic. The Rock, with his charismatic personality and undeniable legacy in the industry, always promises unmatched entertainment. This recent appearance was no exception. As the show kicked off, the atmosphere was palpable, with fans excitedly awaiting the night’s lineup. But the biggest shock came when The Rock stepped into the spotlight. As he entered, the venue buzzed with anticipation, and a confrontation seemed inevitable. Enter Austin Theory, the new-generation wrestler who dared to challenge the returning legend. The audacity of Theory to interrupt the beloved Pat McAfee left the audience gasping. But it was The Rock’s iconic move, the People’s Elbow, that left fans cheering and Theory reeling. However, the episode wasn’t just about confrontations and finishing moves. It was also about reunion, respect, and recognition. John Cena, another WWE superstar and now a veteran, took a moment backstage to warmly welcome The Rock back into the WWE fold. It was a touching moment that showcased the genuine camaraderie and brotherhood between the wrestlers, transcending their in-ring rivalries. Days after the episode, The Rock took a moment to reflect on his return and share his feelings with his enormous fan base. In a heartfelt tweet, he expressed his astonishment at the incredible reception he received from the Denver crowd. Johnson emphasized how the noise level that evening was among the top reactions he had ever received in his illustrious career. His words radiated gratitude and humility, stressing that such reactions from fans are something he would never take lightly. In his message, Johnson also shed light on the feeling of “coming home.” For many WWE legends, the ring is more than just a stage; it’s where memories are made, where battles are won and lost, and where legends are born. The Rock’s sentiments revealed the depth of his bond with the WWE universe. This connection, according to Johnson, isn’t just about the glamour and the lights. It’s real. It’s electrifying. Johnson’s gratitude was not just limited to the fans. He went on to thank Pat McAfee for playing a pivotal role during his return. Recognizing the newer generation of talent, Johnson also praised Austin Theory for his talent and dedication to the craft. He expressed appreciation for the entire WWE family backstage, the diligent Team Rock behind the scenes, and everyone else who collaborated to make the night a success. While many moments during the SmackDown episode were memorable, what truly stood out was The Rock’s undeniable connection with the fans – ‘The People,’ as he fondly calls them. This relationship has been nurtured over years of thrilling matches, iconic promos, and unforgettable moments. Johnson’s gratitude towards his fans was clear in his words. This bond is what makes his appearances so special, turning every event into an electrifying spectacle. With such a powerful return, fans are left wondering what’s next for The Rock in the WWE universe. Will he continue to make surprise appearances, or is there something bigger on the horizon? Only time will tell. However, one thing is certain: whenever The Rock decides to “come home” to WWE, he’ll always be greeted with the same thunderous applause and unparalleled love from ‘The People.’

Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. Rematch Hits Major Roadblock

It seems the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. rematch may not be as inevitable as many believe. Crawford and Spence Jr. faced off in an absolute barnburner boxing match on July 29. ‘Bud’ dismantled the former unified welterweight champion for the majority of the contest and even managed three knockdowns before securing a ninth-round TKO win.  Crawford was widely hailed in the aftermath of the fight. With his incredibly dominant performance, ‘Bud’ cemented his status as one of the best pound-for-pound pugilists today. However, Spence Jr.’s camp wasn’t satisfied with the result and was confident their fighter could do better. Interestingly, the Terence Crawford-Errol Spence Jr. contract included a rematch clause. According to the contract, the loser of the first fight could activate the rematch clause. However, the clause also states that the winner will decide the weight class for the rematch. Therein lies the source of the ongoing dispute.  It has been widely reported that ‘The Truth’ chose to initiate the rematch proceedings after his loss. Unfortunately, it seems negotiations between the two parties hit a rocky patch due to disagreements about which weight class the rematch will be contested in.  After their first fight, many opined that Spence Jr.’s performance may have been affected by his weight cut. Soon after, rumors began circulating that the rematch would be contested at 154 pounds. However, according to Crawford’s training partner Steven Nelson, ‘Bud’ doesn’t want that.  Nelson recently took to Twitter and claimed that Terence Crawford is adamant about the rematch taking place at 154 pounds. The news was later confirmed by boxing journalist Michael Benson, who also revealed that only Crawford could decide the weight. Given the terms of their contract, it seems ‘Bud’ is in a position to cancel the rematch unless it’s contested at his preferred weight class.  While negotiations continue, only time will tell if Spence Jr. gets a chance to run it back with Crawford.

Erin Blanchfield Settles Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso ‘Split Draw’ Result

Erin Blanchfield doesn’t agree with the Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso result at Noche UFC. The fast-rising flyweight contender recently weighed in on the highly controversial outcome of last weekend’s women’s flyweight title fight.  Valentina Shevchenko couldn’t reclaim the title she held for so long from Alexa Grasso, thanks to a rare split-draw decision at the end of their fight. The fireworks contest went the distance, with the final scorecards displaying a 47-47, 48-47, and 47-48 result. Due to this, the Shevchenko-Grasso title fight went down in modern UFC history as only the sixth championship contest to end in a draw.  The aftermath of the fight was marred with controversy. Many fans claimed that while it was a close contest, Shevchenko deserved to get her hand raised. This was due to one judge, Mike Bell, giving Grasso a 10-8 score in the final round. Many objected to this and blamed unfair judging for robbing Shevchenko of a victory. While the Mexican undoubtedly put up an incredible performance, she was also brutally dominated in the third round.  While a trilogy fight between the two is certainly possible, Erin Blanchfield could be given the next title shot. ‘Cold Blooded’ is on an incredible nine-fight win streak and is coming off an impressive victory over Taila Santos at UFC Singapore. Given her investment in the results of the contest, let’s find out what she thought of the final scoresheet. In a recent interview with famed MMA journalist The Schmo, Erin Blanchfield weighed in on the Noche UFC headliner. The mercurial women’s flyweight contender did not agree with the split-draw decision and claimed Shevchenko should have won. Speaking specifically about the controversial fourth-round 10-8 score by Mike Bell, she opined that Grasso wasn’t posing any danger to Shevchenko and dismissed the validity of the lopsided score.  It remains to be seen if Erin Blanchfield is called up for the next title shot.

Noche UFC: Explaining Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso “Split Draw” Decision Controversy

The Noche UFC headliner between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso ended with a rare split-draw decision. This fight marked only the sixth time in modern promotional history that a title bout ended in a draw.  Valentina Shevchenko went up against the reigning women’s flyweight champion in a bid to reclaim the title last weekend. The five-round fight was an absolute barnburner, with both women giving it their all. ‘Bullet’ started the contest strong, winning the first round with her exceptional striking and positioning. However, Grasso responded on the second screen and won the round.  In the third screen, Shevchenko deployed her grappling skills and controlled Grasso on the ground for most of the round. Knowing how close their contest was, both fighters showed intention in the fourth round. Valentina Shevchenko won the fourth round on two judges’ cards, while one judge scored in favor of Alexa Grasso. The fifth round is where the controversy begins.  While the final round seemed pretty in the beginning, Grasso managed to get Shevchenko’s back and dominated the former flyweight queen for the last few minutes. Her decision to grapple Shevchenko paid off on Mike Bell’s scorecard, which awarded her the controversial 10-8 score. With final scores of 47-47, 47-48, and 48-47, the contest was declared a split draw. Due to this, Alexa Grasso ended up retaining her title.  In MMA, a split draw is declared when two judges score the fight in favor of each of the fighters while the third judge scores it a draw. In the aftermath of the battle, many contested the validity of the 10-8 score. Given Shevchenko’s dominance in the third round, many fans opined that ‘Bullet’ should’ve gotten a 10-8 for it.  While the debate rages on, the reigning flyweight queen holds on to her throne. Only time will tell if the UFC plans a trilogy between the two or moves the division on with new contenders.

Kevin Nash Loved Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus At Payback 2023

Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus

WWE Payback 2023 was the latest stop in Becky Lynch’s long-running rivalry with Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark. Big Time Becks emerged victorious from a Steel Cage fight with the Hall of Fame member, who did not benefit from the help of her hitherto right hand, whom she attacked once the fight was over to also put an end to their alliance.  What’s next for The Quintessential Diva is anyone’s guess, but while she’s away from her programming, her opponent won the NXT Women’s Championship and her former friend seems to be looking for another one in Shayna Baszler. Kevin Nash praises Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus But let’s go back to the confrontation they had at the last Premium Live Event to find out Kevin Nash’s opinion. Lately, the Hall of Famer has also been on the front page due to her negative criticism: he said that if CM Punk returns to WWE he will do it too, he attacked LA Knight again praising The Miz, or he dedicated a harsh rebuke to The Young Bucks by Scott Hall’s son. However, on this occasion, Big Daddy explains in Kliq This that he loved their fight; In his own words, “They broke it. “ “I saw the cage fight between Trish and Becky at the pay-per-view event. Oh my gosh, I mean, Trish is 46, I think… they did great. Trish had never been in a cage before, and it was just… there’s a part of me that selfishly hopes it’s not the end of her, but how can she not end the career she’s had with, you know, just a wrestling masterpiece?? The best fight of the night, in my opinion. How can you not leave that as your last great work? “I don’t want to belittle Becky. I think a lot of that was due to her psychology, her ability and her bravery.”

Rey Mysterio Accepts Santos Escobar’s Challenge For The US title

Rey Mysterio WWE

The current US Champion Rey Mysterio made his appearance alongside the entire LWO team, celebrating his presence alongside Santos Escobar, Cruz del Toro, Joaquín Wilde and Zelina Vega in the last episode of WWE Smackdown. In addition, the veteran wrestler expressed his satisfaction at being the current United States Champion. Then, Santos Escobar assured that he has great respect for Mysterio and values him very much. However, he asked for a title shot, remembering that he was initially scheduled to face Austin Theory. Things seemed to get tense due to this challenge, but the 48-year-old Champion, showing his joy, accepted the match. Although at the moment it is not known when this duel will take place. Street Profits vs. LWO The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley appeared to face LWO, so Cruz del Toro and Joaquín Wilde challenged the Almighty’s companions to a fight. However, the fight did not last at all and the invaders took the fight quickly and ended up beating the entire LWO. However, there are more cancers that we can expect this tag team match to take place at WWE Fastlane 2023.
