Chris Jericho’s Statement Explains What Happened Between CM Punk And Jack Perry

AEW Chris Jericho

Several weeks have passed and there have been consequences, but there is still talk about what happened in the AEW All In: London locker room between Jack Perry and CM Punk, a problem that ended with the suspension of Jack Perry and the dismissal of CM Punk. Chris Jericho, one of the greatest authorities in the All Elite Wrestling locker room, was interviewed this week on Busted Open, where he had to answer questions about the problems that occurred that day. Jericho assured that these are things that normally happen in a locker room and indicated that the press wanted to magnify the problem. “But it’s wrestling, man. It’s just rock ‘n’ roll. I think people like to focus on the negative. I remember when I got into a fight with Goldberg in Milwaukee, it was all over the Internet 10 minutes later… Like this “This is not the first time there have been incidents behind the scenes. It happens. I just think now with the media on social media, people want to jump on the negative.” “We know the problems. The problems have been rectified. But the point is that there are a lot of positive things happening. And those things are always downplayed a little bit. But it’s the negative that is focused on. I know what’s going on in the locker room, and “We know what areas we need to work in. Negative press is negative press .” “Again, of the 81,000 people at Wembley Stadium, how many know what happened? You know what I mean, the journalists, and the people who do this care. And we should care. But there are also fans. .. not just 81,000, who think: how about being number one on cable television four weeks in a row? Number one, the number one show of all shows on Wednesdays, is AEW .” “So to me, that’s a big positive thing that also gets lost in the shuffle because someone is in a bad mood one day, or whatever. It happens, it’s wrestling. We’re all gipsies, tramps and thieves, and there will be problems from time to time”.

Noche UFC: Valentina Shevchenko To Undergo Surgery After Suffering Hand Injury

Valentina Shevchenko reportedly didn’t leave the octagon at Noche UFC last weekend without getting hurt. ‘Bullet’ recently revealed that she suffered a brutal hand injury during her title fight against Alexa Grasso. The two mercurial women’s flyweight contenders fought for the title at the T-Mobile Arena on September 16.  Valentina Shevchenko is undeniably among the most decorated female MMA fighters in history. As a champion, the Kyrgyzstan native had seven title defenses before Alexa Grasso beat her at UFC 285. She holds the record for most consecutive title defenses in UFC women’s history. Shevchenko was also on an incredible nine-fight winning streak prior to her first loss against Grasso.  In their title rematch at Noche UFC, Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso went the distance in a razor-sharp fight. After five exhilarating rounds, the judges’ scorecards delivered a split-draw result. Due to the draw, Grasso retained her championship. However, the scoring caused an uproar within the MMA community, thanks to one judge scoring the final round 10-8 in favor of Grasso despite it being a non-dominant round.  In a recent Instagram post, Valentina Shevchenko addressed the fight. ‘Bullet’ revealed that she fractured her right thumb during the first round of the fight and will undergo surgery. Later, her team confirmed that Shevchenko would need to rest her hand for three months and that she would not be able to train to strike until she fully recovers. Valentina Shevchenko later added that she suffered a comminuted fracture. That means her thumb broke in multiple separate pieces.  Interestingly, Dana White recently confirmed that Shevchenko will run it back against Alexa Grasso in a trilogy bout. The UFC CEO spoke to the media after the conclusion of Dana White’s Contender Series 63 and expressed his anger at last weekend’s results. After confirming the promotion’s intention to book the trilogy rubber match, White blasted the judges for their baffling scoring methods.

HBO Max Service May Lead To The Inclusion Of AEW

HBO Max vs AEW

HBO Max, the streaming platform owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, will launch a new premium sports section on October 5, coinciding with the MLB playoffs that will begin two days later. This new service within the platform will allow its subscribers to watch matches live. The new service will be called Bleacher Report Sports Add-On (or B/R Sports), taking the name from WBD’s digital sports news, opinions and highlights brand. Interested subscribers will have to pay a fee of $10 per month (in addition to the Max subscription), although it will be available for free during a promotional period that will last until the end of February, covering the MLB playoffs and much of the NBA and NHL seasons. This news could mean the arrival of All Elite Wrestling to the platform, which would allow it to continue expanding its product. Tony Khan himself recently stated his desire for HBO Max to be able to house the company’s entire video library. It should be remembered that AEW All Access has been available on the platform for a few months. Currently, the company’s weekly shows can be seen through the TNT and TBS channels, both owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, while the PPVs can be followed through Bleacher Report and Fite TV internationally. With this new announcement, the possibility opens that the company’s pay-per-view events can be viewed through B/R Sports. At the moment, neither WBD nor AEW have commented on the matter, so it will be necessary to see if the former’s commitment to sports content can benefit Tony Khan’s company.

Breaking: Dana White Confirms Valentina Shevchenko vs. Alexa Grasso Trilogy Rematch

UFC CEO Dana White recently confirmed that Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso will face off again in a trilogy fight. White also expressed his utter dismay at the controversial outcome of their fight last weekend, slamming the referee for it.  Shevchenko went up against Grasso at Noche UFC in an attempt to reclaim the women’s flyweight title. The two mercurial fighters went back and forth for five rounds in one of the most thrilling fights of 2023. In an evenly matched contest, both had their moments throughout the 25 minutes, with Grasso notably finishing the fight strong.  However, neither fighter got their hand raised in the end, thanks to the judges’ scorecards delivering a split decision result. This was due to each contender winning a 48-47 score, with a third 47-47 tie. The final 47-47 scorecard was because Judge Mike Bell scored three 10-9 rounds for Shevchenko and gave Grasso a 10-9 along with a 10-8 for the final round. His scoring in the final round caused widespread controversy as many failed to understand how Grasso could’ve possibly deserved a 10-8 score.  In the aftermath, many called for a trilogy between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso to settle the rivalry. Given the razor-sharp nature of their last meeting, even the UFC couldn’t disagree with that sentiment.  During a post-fight presser after Dana White’s Contender Series 63, the UFC CEO confirmed that the promotion was looking to book another rematch. He firmly claimed that the trilogy must happen, and the UFC will be re-booking the fight. He added that it was the “right thing to do” and lambasted Mike Bell for his outrageous scoring.  Dana White revealed that he was on vacation when the fight went down. He added that he was flabbergasted to find out the final round had been scored 10-8 and demanded that Mike Bell be investigated. Dana White said that was potentially the worst judging he had ever seen in the UFC.

WWE Smackdown 22nd September: IYO Sky vs. Asuka For WWE Women’s Championship, Bloodline Awaits John Cena

The Friday Night edition is all set to go live from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ on September 22, 2023. Asuka will have her chance to win back the WWE Women’s Championship as she faces IYO SKY on this week’s episode of “WWE SmackDown” on September 22. This exciting news was revealed during last Friday’s episode of “SmackDown,” exactly two weeks ago. At WWE SummerSlam, Asuka lost her WWE Women’s Championship. In a Triple Threat title match, Bianca Belair emerged as the new champion, defeating both Asuka and Charlotte Flair. But Belair’s reign didn’t last long, as SKY used her Money in the Bank contract to seize the title right then and there. Just a little while ago, SKY successfully defended her championship against Zelina Vega on the August 25 episode of WWE SmackDown. During the previous episode, Asuka made a surprise appearance near the timekeeper’s area. She grabbed SKY’s championship while Dakota Kai was holding it, causing a distraction that led to Shotzi and Flair defeating Damage CTRL. After the match, Asuka and SKY had a tense encounter, with Asuka throwing the championship at SKY’s feet. Following this, Asuka declared backstage that their match would take place on “SmackDown” rather than at the upcoming Fastlane premium live event. It’s worth noting that Asuka and SKY were once a tag team in Japan about a decade ago but have never competed against each other in singles competition, except for an untelevised match at a WWE house show in 2022. SKY won the title at SummerSlam after Belair’s victory over Asuka in a triple-threat match involving Flair. The big question is, will The Genius of the Sky be prepared to take on Asuka? Or is “SmackDown” on the verge of witnessing another reign for The Empress of Tomorrow? Additionally, for this week’s SmackDown, John Cena has been announced. Last week, John Cena had a face-off with his former adversary, The Rock, who has now become his friend. Cena also made a memorable appearance on “The Grayson Waller Effect” and confronted Jimmy Uso in the ring. However, Uso grabbed the microphone from Cena’s hand and ordered him to leave “his” ring. This led to Solo Sikoa, accompanied by Paul Heyman, entering the scene. Sikoa faced off with Cena while Uso pumped up the crowd. Sikoa briefly attacked his brother but then opted to superkick Cena. As Sikoa and Uso started assaulting Cena, AJ Styles rushed to the ring to help. Cena delivered his signature move, the Five Knuckle Shuffle, to Uso and attempted the Attitude Adjustment, but Sikoa intervened just in time. Cena and AJ Styles stood tall together, reminding everyone of their iconic rivalry. The entire Bloodline is waiting for Cena this week on SmackDown. What will happen when Cena takes the microphone and steps into the ring? Could there be interference from The Bloodline? To find out the answers to all these questions, make sure to tune in to Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX.

3 Superstars Who Should Face Becky Lynch For NXT Championship

Becky Lynch is the new NXT Women’s Champion. She won the title by defeating Tiffany Stratton on Last Tuesday’s NXT. Becky Lynch achieved a significant milestone in her WWE career by becoming the NXT Women’s Champion, a title she had been chasing for a long time. For many years, Lynch was the only member of the “Four Horsewomen” who hadn’t won this championship. Her peers, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte Flair, all held this title early in their careers. This title completed her Grand Slam. Now that Becky Lynch is at the top of the NXT brand, let’s consider three potential challengers for her championship: 3) A former champion seeks WWE gold once more Roxanne Perez is one of the rising stars in WWE today. At just 21 years old, she joined the company in 2022 and achieved remarkable success in her first year, winning tag team gold, the NXT breakout tournament, and even the NXT Women’s Championship. Perez often mentions how Becky Lynch inspired her to pursue a career in wrestling. After Lynch’s title win, Roxanne shared a photo of herself with Becky from years before she joined WWE. 2) The future of WWE aims for the NXT title Nikkita Lyons, like Roxanne Perez, is another standout talent in NXT who appears poised to lead the next generation of WWE superstars. Despite having only two years of experience before joining WWE in 2021, Lyons has quickly made a name for herself, with her signature split pin move becoming a fan favorite. While she has secured many impressive victories in the ring, the women’s championship has remained out of her reach. Although Lyons has been sidelined with a knee injury for most of 2023, she recently teased her return to the ring on social media. “I miss you 🦁 im omw, just a lil more time 🙏🏼 @WWENXT @WWE @USANetwork #ThePounceBack,” tweeted Lyons. 1) Becky’s rival seeks revenge Zoey Stark has been a persistent thorn in Becky Lynch’s side throughout 2023. She aligned herself with Becky’s rival, Trish Stratus, at Night of Champions in May, determined to prevent Lynch from achieving any success. While the feud between Stratus and Lynch seems to have concluded, Stark, who never held singles gold during her NXT days, may be looking to get even with The Man once more. Despite their on-screen animosity in WWE, Stark had nothing but praise for Lynch in a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful: “It boosts my self-esteem and confirms that I’m on the right path. As for Trish Stratus, I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll repeat it – she’s been truly outstanding. She’s been a mentor both inside and outside the ring. Similarly, Becky Lynch, in our interactions beyond the wrestling world and storyline, has shown herself to be truly remarkable. She’s an exceptional individual, incredibly welcoming, and has been a guiding support on my journey.”

Cody Rhodes, a prominent figure in the wrestling world, recently demonstrated his benevolence by auctioning off one of his iconic robes to support a worthy cause. The result? A staggering $46,700 was raised for the Connor’s Cure Foundation.
