Mustafa Ali Is Very Likely To Join AEW After Parted Ways With WWE

WWE’s latest wave of layoffs has left a host of talent out of work, many of them from the main roster. One of them is Mustafa Ali, who at 37 years old said goodbye to the company from which he wanted to leave since 2021 when he requested his release, which was not granted. Since the news, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of these talents. Specifically, it has been said about Mustafa Ali that he will surely end up working at All Elite Wrestling. Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer journalist, spoke about it in his last radio show, where he recalled that he has a great friendship with Bryan Danielson, a person very close to Tony Khan, president of the company, currently. “Mustafa Ali is 37 years old, he knows his time is running out. He knows he’s good, but he never had a great opportunity,” Meltzer said. “The fact is that he works hard. Yes, he likes Danielson, and that’s a plus. I think that’s why I think Mustafa Ali will end up in AEW because Danielson has the trust of Tony Khan. He has a good chance, “But again, they have so many guys that don’t do anything now. They don’t want to add a bunch of guys, they don’t want to add a bunch of guys over 40.” In case Tony Khan is interested in acquiring the services of Mustafa Ali, we will have to see when it can happen. All of the talents fired last Thursday have a non-compete clause that ends at the end of December. Ali’s case could be different since he asked for release and the company granted it.

AJ Styles Taken Out On Stretcher After Bloodline Attacked Him On The Latest Episode Of WWE Smackdown

AJ Styles

The arena lights dimmed, and the suspenseful atmosphere at this week’s Friday Night SmackDown was palpable. While every episode is full of unexpected turns and thrilling action, this week’s episode will go down in WWE history for the vicious attack on AJ Styles by The Bloodline. It wasn’t just a testament to the wrestling prowess of the Bloodline members but also marked a significant escalation in the storyline between The Bloodline and John Cena. It was evident from the very start of the evening that tensions were high. John Cena opened SmackDown, expressing his frustrations about repeatedly facing off against The Bloodline. The 16-time World Champion has battled numerous opponents in his illustrious career, but The Bloodline seemed to be giving him a particularly challenging time. Cena’s solution to this ongoing problem? Finding a partner who could help him even the odds. And who better to side with Cena than AJ Styles? As Cena put it, he wanted a ‘phenomenal’ partner. The two have had their differences in the past, but common adversaries often make for unexpected allies. Styles didn’t hesitate and accepted Cena’s proposal. The duo then boldly issued a challenge to The Bloodline for a tag team match. For those unfamiliar with the current WWE dynamics, The Bloodline is one of the most dominant factions in wrestling today. Led by the Universal Champion Roman Reigns, it also features the dynamic duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. The group has been on a tear recently, making life miserable for anyone who dares to stand in their way. It seemed that The Bloodline was cornered by Cena and Styles’ challenge. Although Jimmy and Solo appeared in response to the issued challenge, they didn’t seem eager to give a straight answer. Instead of agreeing or declining, they chose to walk away, leaving the audience in suspense. Subsequently, WWE Official Adam Pearce saw this as an opportunity to formalize the challenge. He drafted a contract for the proposed tag team bout, with Cena quickly adding his signature, eagerly awaiting Styles to finalize the agreement. But as the minutes ticked by, it became clear that something was amiss. AJ Styles was nowhere to be found. The uncertainty in the arena was palpable as everyone awaited the appearance of the Phenomenal One. As the episode progressed, fans were given a glimpse of what happened backstage. It was a scene that sent shockwaves throughout the WWE Universe. Styles, who was making his way to the ring, was ambushed by Jimmy Uso in a brutal backstage altercation. Uso displayed a level of aggression not often seen, even in WWE, as he ruthlessly threw Styles over a table surrounded by equipment boxes. But that wasn’t the end of it. From a staggering 15-foot-high platform, Solo Sikoa then took his turn, delivering a devastating splash that left Styles motionless on the ground. The gravity of the situation became more evident when WWE on FOX shared the video of the savage assault on their official social media. Reactions poured in from fans and wrestlers alike, condemning The Bloodline’s actions and showing support for Styles. As medical professionals rushed to the scene, it became clear that Styles was severely injured. The 46-year-old Phenomenal One was loaded onto a stretcher, and the grim sight of him being transported to an ambulance marked one of the darkest moments in recent WWE memory. Cena, who was waiting in the ring for his partner, could only watch in horror and disbelief. He was left standing alone, a poignant image contrasting with the earlier excitement of their proposed team-up. The implications of this incident are vast. While immediate concerns are understandably centered on the health and well-being of AJ Styles, the longer-term repercussions on the WWE landscape are yet to be seen. This brutal attack not only intensifies the feud between Cena and The Bloodline but also raises questions about Styles’ future and whether he will seek revenge once he recovers.

Lacey Evans Praises Vince McMahon, Says ‘He Is A Good Boss’

Lacey Evans left WWE when her contract ended on August 16. Her last wrestling match was on July 7, where she lost to Zelina Vega in a dark match. Lacey, whose real name is Macey Estrella, has now started a new business called Sunny Summers Cafe in Beaufort, SC. She also has a FanTime website. During a Highspots Virtual Signing event, fans asked Lacey various wrestling-related questions and made comments. When one fan expressed missing her in WWE, she responded with, “I understand, dear. I understand.” Another fan expressed hope for her well-being after leaving WWE, and she replied, “You have no idea,” and then promoted her FanTime. She continued to promote FanTime throughout the signing. When asked about her plans, she confidently stated, “I’ll go wherever I please.” A fan questioned why WWE didn’t push her to win a world title during her time there. Lacey explained that her 2021 program with then-Raw Women’s Champion Asuka was cut short because she became pregnant. Despite not being consistently featured on WWE TV in her later years with the company, Lacey spoke positively about her seven-year tenure, saying, “It was amazing. So much fun.” Later in the signing, she mentioned, “As you all know, I can pretty much do whatever I want now. I have all the time in the world. I love being at the cafe.” When asked about her experience working for WWE, Lacey responded, “It was fantastic. Such a blast.” During the stream, Lacey sneezed, and when someone told her that Vince McMahon disliked sneezing because it implied a lack of self-control, Lacey said she hadn’t heard that before but commented, “I can see that. Vince McMahon was a great boss.” Since leaving WWE a month ago, Lacey has created a FanTime page and opened her cafe, Sunny Summers Cafe. Lacey Evans was the most recent WWE talent to leave until September 21, when several talents were released from their contracts.

3 Reasons Why Matt Riddle Parted Ways With WWE

Matt Riddle

Professional wrestling is a world of drama, both in and outside of the ring. Over the years, various athletes have had their differences with the premier organization in this field – the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Recently, one of its stars, Matt Riddle, surprised many when he parted ways with WWE. Given the numerous incidents surrounding Riddle, we explore three key reasons that might have led to this fallout. The first and foremost among them is Riddle’s behavioral issues. Riddle’s journey with WWE wasn’t smooth. As early as 2020, the wrestler faced disciplinary actions from the company when he violated its COVID-19 protocols, resulting in a fine. Matters didn’t improve in 2022 when Riddle was handed a suspension for failing a drug test. This saw him benched and kept away from in-ring action, much to the dismay of his fans. Such incidents, particularly repeated ones, are likely to strain the relationship between an athlete and their employing organization. Repeated controversies would have damaged Riddle’s reputation within WWE, and might have made him a challenging asset for the company to handle, given its image-centric nature. However, the most significant behavioral controversy surrounding Riddle occurred recently in September 2023. The wrestler was involved in a public outburst at JFK Airport. This wasn’t just another incident – Riddle accused a police officer of sexual assault, a grave and serious accusation. This accusation thrust Riddle into national news headlines, overshadowing his wrestling persona and achievements. This incident, apart from affecting Riddle’s reputation, could have also made him a significant liability for WWE. Wrestling, much like any other form of entertainment, is heavily reliant on public perceptions. An incident of this magnitude could have been detrimental to both Riddle and the WWE brand. Furthermore, WWE has faced its share of scrutiny from the public and media regarding its handling of sexual misconduct allegations in the past. Riddle’s airport outburst, true or not, brought unwanted attention to an issue WWE has been trying to navigate and manage. This leads us to the next reason – the current state and changing landscape of WWE. With new ownership and management changes in place, the wrestling behemoth is in a phase of transformation. This transformation isn’t just internal. The wrestling landscape is evolving rapidly with the emergence of significant competitors, like All Elite Wrestling (AEW), challenging WWE’s long-held supremacy. As competition intensifies, it becomes imperative for WWE to present a polished image, ensuring that its stars are not only performing at their peak inside the ring but are also maintaining a clean image outside of it. The influx of newer stars, the need to focus on up-and-coming talent, combined with Riddle’s controversial image, could have made it easier for the organization to let go of him. In an increasingly competitive market, the margin for error reduces significantly, and WWE might not want to risk its dominant position with controversies. While these reasons present a compelling case for why Riddle might have parted ways with WWE, it’s essential to consider the broader picture. Often in entertainment and sports industries, there are multiple layers and complexities to any decision. The exact reasons behind Riddle’s departure are currently unknown since neither Matt Riddle nor WWE has made an official statement regarding the matter. What remains to be seen is how Riddle’s career shapes up post-WWE. Talented and charismatic, Riddle has the potential to be a significant player in the wrestling world. At the same time, WWE will continue its journey, adapting and changing with the times. Whether this separation proves beneficial for both parties or whether they might reconcile in the future remains a tantalizing prospect for wrestling fans worldwide.

John Cena Featured On The Official Poster Of WWE Fastlane 2023

John Cena

The buzz surrounding WWE Fastlane 2023 has intensified with the release of the official poster featuring none other than the 16-time World Champion, John Cena. With the event scheduled for October 7th at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, fans are already buzzing about the possible matches and storylines that could play out. John Cena’s illustrious career in WWE has seen many twists and turns. However, the recent return of Cena to WWE’s programming has caught the imagination of fans worldwide. Rumors are rife that he will be participating in a significant tag team match on tonight’s SmackDown episode. The anticipation for this match is heightened, considering it will be Cena’s first televised bout since his surprising loss to the emerging Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 in April. One can’t forget the exciting moment when Cena paired up with Seth Rollins at the Superstar Spectacle 2023 to defeat Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Although the event didn’t make it to our TV screens, the whispers about the match have kept the fandom intrigued. The presence of Cena on the Fastlane 2023 poster not only reflects his monumental status in the world of sports entertainment but also points toward a pivotal role he might play at the event. The poster has certainly piqued the interest of the WWE Universe, and many are speculating about the potential matchups and storylines that might be featured. With just a fortnight to go until WWE Fastlane hits our screens, details regarding the match card remain surprisingly scarce. One of the biggest mysteries surrounds the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. As the current face of WWE, Reigns’ absence from the Fastlane card is conspicuous. It’s known that Reigns’ next title defense is slated for WWE Crown Jewel later in the fall, leaving fans curious about his role, if any, at Fastlane. Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, on the other hand, seems poised to face a familiar opponent. With recent events pointing toward a WWE Payback rematch, Shinsuke Nakamura could well be the one challenging Rollins for his coveted title at Fastlane. This matchup has the potential to steal the show given the in-ring prowess of both competitors. The Women’s division, always a highlight of WWE events, promises to deliver as well. The relentless Nia Jax, who recently made her return, has been making waves with her intention clear: she wants the WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley. Their clash, if it materializes, could be an explosive encounter. The dynamics involving John Cena have also grown more intriguing due to recent events. Cena’s interactions with AJ Styles and the confrontations with The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa have set the stage for some high-octane action. With Cena and Styles reportedly set to face Jimmy and Solo on SmackDown this Friday, the outcome of this bout could have significant implications for WWE Fastlane. Given the recent trajectory, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that Cena’s run-ins with The Bloodline are far from over. In the ever-evolving landscape of WWE, Fastlane 2023 promises to be a pivotal event in shaping the road to the next big pay-per-views. With established legends, returning icons, and emerging stars all in the mix, the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is poised to witness a night of unforgettable action. The inclusion of John Cena on the event’s official poster is a testament to his undying allure and the significant role he still plays in the world of professional wrestling. As fans eagerly await the match card revelations and the stories that will unfold, one thing is certain: WWE Fastlane 2023 is set to be an event that will leave an indelible mark on the annals of wrestling history.

IYO SKY, with the second-longest Money in the Bank contract ever held by a woman, faced the challenging task of defending her championship on WWE SmackDown. Unfortunately, she missed as Asuka quickly evaded.
