Seth Rollins supports John Cena’s idea of hosting WrestleMania in London

In a significant shift from the norm, Seth Rollins, a WWE superstar, has backed John Cena’s idea of holding a future WrestleMania in London. This follows Cena’s surprise return at the Money in the Bank event, where he took the opportunity to suggest London as a potential WrestleMania host city.

Cena’s Surprise Return and Suggestion

During his surprise return to greet the London crowd at Money in the Bank, the 16-time champ Cena pondered over WWE’s lapse in bringing a premium live event to the city. He highlighted that the people in the UK deserved more significant events from the company. Cena’s suggestion of hosting WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, in London has sparked considerable debate within the WWE community and its vast fanbase.

While WWE has staged several pay-per-view and live events in the UK before, most notably Summerslam 1992 at Wembley Stadium, the notion of hosting WrestleMania outside the United States is an unprecedented move.

Rollins Supports the Idea

Rollins recently supported this idea on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin. He enthusiastically stated, “Yeah. I love doing WrestleMania in different cities and different markets.”

However, Rollins acknowledged the logistic challenges of executing such a colossal event in London. He continued, “Obviously, the logistics of getting WrestleMania to London are slightly different than being stateside.”

Despite the challenges, Rollins is optimistic about WWE’s capabilities, saying, “But this is the biggest professional wrestling company on the planet. If anybody can do it, we can.”

A New Era for WrestleMania?

Rollins’ endorsement indicates that the Superstars are open to taking the show on the road and are ready to explore different markets. The WWE Universe has previously witnessed “Clash at the Castle” in Cardiff, which received a massive response. However, a WrestleMania event in London, the heart of the UK, would be another ball game altogether.

Rollins seemed enthusiastic about entertaining the London crowd on a grand stage like WrestleMania. He expressed his desire to bring a massive stadium show to London, saying,

“So, I would love to be able to bring a WrestleMania or a huge stadium show to London, the Greater London area.”
