WWE Is Not In Rush To Renew LA Knight
In recent days, and coinciding with the transition it will make after its sale to Endeavor, it has been reported that WWE is seeking the renewal of several important contracts within the company. Important names are beginning to approach the negotiating table to extend their stay as employees of this company.
One of the most striking examples is that of LA Knight, with whom WWE decided to start negotiations despite being far from the stipulated date to finalize their current agreement. Endeavour’s company seeks to retain The Megastar for another five years, using as an alleged claim the growing popularity with the fans that it managed to maintain in recent months.
However, the first conversations presented several discrepancies between what both parties wanted to achieve a renewal. Fightful Select pointed out that LA Knight and WWE see a very distant difference in the money for which the former should sign a new contract. Negotiations between both parties continue to advance, although this new scenario encouraged offers and it does not seem that a mutual agreement is imminent.
On the other hand, an internal source in the company denied that the interest in renewing LA Knight is tied to his popularity with fans, citing other cases of superstars who have been renewed long before having a push in programming. LA Knight will end his contract with WWE in 2025, and it has been specified that he is still tied to the company for the next year and a half.
