Seth Rollins Says, “We Are In Boom, The Industry Is Bigger Than Ever”

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Journalist Dave Meltzer is clear that current wrestling enjoys a media coverage similar to the one it exuded back in 2001, along the lines of other analysts, such as Eric Bischoff or Brian Gewirtz. The latter believes that the current WWE product is above that of the “Attitude Era”. A trial, yes, coming from Americans, who, as you know, tend to consider that their nation is the entire world.

And already in August 2021, when COVID was still doing its thing, Jon Moxley left these words as a preview of that year’s edition of AEW All Out.  A lot of fans say, ‘Oh, do you watch wrestling?’ And if you don’t understand it, you don’t understand it. Now, more people are getting it and it’s hotter than ever, and you can feel things heating up, especially just coming off this pay-per-view event, which was perhaps one of the best. Definitely. “one of the best of the past decade.”

And from one  Shield we went to another, although on the opposite side of the trench. Because now, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, before the microphones of ‘After The Bell’, formulates a similar consideration, with reference included to AEW All In.

“We are in a ‘boom’, man. You have to understand that another company has seated 80K people in a stadium for one night. A week before, we sold 90K tickets for WrestleMania. We broke the box office record on the first day. There are seven or eight different wrestling television programs a week, not counting the ‘premium live events’ or the pay-per-view events. The talent that exists in all areas is beyond that of any generation. I don’t want to detract from the guys who paved the way, I stand by what those guys did. The industry is bigger than ever, it generates more money than ever, and it is healthier. The future of our business is very bright and I’m glad to be a part of it.”
