In a resounding display of viewer enthusiasm, the latest episode of “WWE NXT” garnered substantial attention, marking a significant triumph for the show’s ratings landscape.

According to reports from PWTorch, the episode that aired on Tuesday drew a viewership of 776,000, achieving the highest average rating for “NXT” in over two years. This impressive figure represents a notable increase of 59,000 viewers from the preceding week’s viewership of 717,000, marking a remarkable night of success. The 18-49 demographic continued to show consistency, holding at a .23 rating for the third consecutive week. Thus far, “NXT” has maintained an average yearly viewership of 619,000, surpassing the previous year’s yearly average of 596,000 at this point.

WWE NXT undergoes significant rise in viewership, registers highest numbers since 2021

The focal point of this episode was the headline match featuring “NXT” North American Champion Dominik Mysterio defending his title against Dragon Lee. This showdown was elevated by the presence of the legendary lucha libre figure and WWE Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio, in Dragon Lee’s corner. The added dimension of Rey Mysterio’s involvement added weight to the contest, making it a pivotal moment for Lee. Additionally, the episode showcased Tyler Bate clinching victory in a contest for Noam Dar’s version of the NXT UK Heritage Cup, further enriching the night’s offerings.

Dominik Mysterio’s impact on “NXT” viewership has been consistently positive since his debut on July 18, reflecting a trend of elevated ratings for all shows featuring the young champion. His ascent began with his victory over former North American Champion Wes Lee, a feat that marked a compelling turning point in his career. Together with his fellow Judgment Day allies such as Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio’s presence has been pivotal in “NXT” programming on Tuesdays and “WWE Raw” on Monday nights.

Reports also suggest that WWE executives hold a favorable outlook on the Judgment Day faction. Rhea Ripley’s possession of the WWE Women’s World Championship and Damian Priest’s victory as the Men’s Money In The Bank winner, coupled with Dominik Mysterio’s ongoing accomplishments in the North American title division, underscore the faction’s success and impact on WWE’s narrative landscape.
