5 WWE Superstars Who Can Face John Cena In September 2023

2 years ago By Jhon Woug

John Cena has been confirmed for the WWE Tour of India, and it should not come as a surprise that he may be on the card too. John Cena, one of the most popular WWE superstars of all time, has always held a special place in the hearts of all the fans, past or present. The lock chain, the cap worn backwards, and the oversized T-shirt all added to the funk that John Cena brought to the business. Of late, there has been a lot of buzz as to who may fight Big Match John in his comeback this September. Here is a list of five possible names:

  1. Austin Theory

The selfie-taking Superstar has always adored John Cena and looked up to the champ as someone he always wanted to be like. Big Match John is copied week in and week out by one of his biggest fans and disciples, and it would be all the more enjoyable to watch the two go head-to-head

  1. Drew McIntyre

A match between two accomplished superstars is what everyone wants to see. John Cena and Drew McIntyre both possess the star power to get audiences to keep screaming their names. These two, even with Cena’s schedule, are sure to put on a 5-star match should it happen this September.

  1. Sheamus

Sheamus and John Cena share a rivalry that has lasted over a decade. The two fighting it out would bring back old memories of a young Celtic Warrior going neck-to-neck with the then-attraction John Cena. Cena and Sheamus are both established names now, and with higher stakes, it will be all the more enjoyable to watch the two former champions collide.

  1. Dominik Mysterio

Dirty Dom was there the night John Cena and Rey Mysterio competed for the World Title. Sure, Cena won, and CM Punk came out with the original title, which he won to a louder ovation. All of this was watched by a young Dominik Mysterio, who today is the 2nd hottest property in the business only behind LA Knight, and allowing him to take out John Cena early on in his career shall do wonders for him.

  1. LA Knight

Talk about putting young talent over. LA Knight is the most popular thing in business today. A superstar who may largely benefit from John Cena’s star power is LA Knight. This match, if it were to happen in September, would tell the world that Cena is back and here to stay.
