5 WWE Superstars Who Appeared On Sitcom Shows

1 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE superstars have long been celebrated for their athleticism inside the ring. But it is not only the wrestling ring where they showcase their talents. We often see most of the WWE superstars in Hollywood movies, TV dramas, and reality shows. However, some of them also showcased their lighter side by appearing in sitcoms. In this article, we’ll spotlight 5 WWE superstars who made appearances on our favorite sitcom shows.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made significant waves in Hollywood. With his charming personality, The Rock has easily transitioned from the wrestling ring to the silver screen. Perhaps one of the most memorable of these appearances was on the beloved series “That ’70s Show.” In a season 7 episode, fans were thrilled to see The Rock play none other than… himself! As the story goes, he graces Eric Forman’s school as a guest speaker. It’s not every day that students get to be in the presence of a wrestling legend, and The Rock’s appearance certainly shakes things up.

During the episode, he delivers a motivational speech to the students. His words revolve around the importance of chasing dreams and never giving up, a message that resonates deeply with many.

His appearance on “That ’70s Show” is a testament to his versatility as an actor. While many recognize him for action-packed roles in blockbuster movies, The Rock effortlessly shines in comedic scenarios, bringing laughter to audiences worldwide.

Bret Hart, fondly known as “The Hitman” to the fans, has charmed audiences with his actions in the WWE ring. Along with his wrestling skills, he has also made some memorable appearances in movies.

In 1997, viewers of “The Simpsons,” the beloved animated sitcom, got a treat with the arrival of Bret Hart. In a season 8 episode, “The Old Man and the Lisa,” Bret Hart gives his voice to a character named “The Hitman.” This episode features Hart taking a tour of Mr. Burns’ sprawling mansion.

Booker T, a reputated WWE superstar has not only been known for his legendary moves in the ring but also for some surprising television appearances. In 2001, an episode of “Charmed” featured not just Booker T but also other wrestling stars Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner. This was no ordinary episode, as the trio didn’t play their real-life personas. Instead, they took on the roles of demonic wrestlers.

All three wrestlers faced the Halliwell sisters, the episode created a unique blend of wrestling action. It was an exciting crossover for fans of both the WWE and “Charmed,” bringing together two very different worlds in a thrilling showdown.

Rhea Ripley has rapidly risen in the WWE. She is the current Women’s Champion. She is already making waves in the WWE ring. Ripley recently appeared in the realm of sitcoms with an appearance on “Young Rock,” a series that shows the early life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

In a delightful twist, Ripley doesn’t play a fictional character but instead portrays herself as a young fan of The Rock. Just as Rhea once looked up to industry legends like The Rock, many young fans now view her as an inspiration.

Her appearance on “Young Rock” not only highlights her versatility as an entertainer but also showcases her deep-rooted connections. This sitcom appearance is a testament to Rhea Ripley’s rising stardom, both in wrestling and entertainment.

Big E, with his energetic appearance in the ring, is a significant figure in WWE. However, fans were in for a delightful surprise when he was seen featured in sitcoms.

In 2013, viewers of the popular sitcom “New Girl” got to see a different side of Big E. During the season 3 episode “Cooler,” he made a guest appearance as a character named Winston. Those familiar with the show know that Winston is a mainstay character, represented by Lamorne Morris. However, in a comedic twist for this specific episode, Big E assumed the role, presenting himself as a friend of Nick Miller, one of the central characters.

This unexpected casting brought a unique dynamic to the episode. Big E’s larger-than-life presence mixed with the humor of “New Girl” resulted in some genuinely hilarious moments. It was a refreshing side of Big E that fans hadn’t seen before.

WWE superstars have always appeared in Hollywood. Also apart from these 5 superstars, we might also see other WWE superstars appearing in sitcoms in the future.
