3 Talking Points From Tonight’s Episode Of WWE Raw – 30th October 2023

7 months ago By Jhon Woug

WWE Raw brought the heat in a spooktacular pre-Halloween episode on October 30, 2023. This edition was jam-packed with spine-tingling action, memorable moments, and plenty of tricks and treats. As we gear up for WWE Crown Jewel, the anticipation is at an all-time high, and here are the top three talking points from tonight’s episode.

Damian Priest, holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, has positioned himself as a top player in WWE. However, his role in the Judgement Day faction remains a topic of discussion. In a shocking twist, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes returned to make a statement.

In a high-octane main event pitting Priest against Sami Zayn, chaos erupted. Finn Bálor and NXT North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio made their presence known. Then came “Main Event” Jey Uso, unleashing a brutal assault on Mysterio.

The climax arrived when Cody Rhodes reemerged, despite his recent injury, making it clear he was the focal point of Judgement Day. Rhodes wasn’t deterred by his physical condition, performing his signature Cross Rhodes move not once but twice, delivering a loud message to Damian Priest, and asserting his leadership aspirations.

The dynamic duo, DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa), made their much-anticipated return to WWE Raw, and their presence was felt immediately. Their tag team showdown against Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci was a rollercoaster ride of a contest.

DIY showcased their incredible chemistry, pulling off several jaw-dropping double-team moves that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. While the Creed Brothers and Alpha Academy have been at the forefront of the tag team division, DIY’s triumphant return may shake up the landscape.

After a gripping back-and-forth battle, DIY emerged victorious, reminding everyone why they were fan favourites and essential contenders in WWE’s tag team division. The Creed Brothers may have their hands full in the near future as DIY climbs the ranks.

Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley proved once again why she reigns supreme in the women’s division. In a video message, she left no doubt about her intentions heading into WWE Crown Jewel, where she defends her title in a Fatal 5-Way match.

Her words were filled with conviction as she declared that the Fatal 5-Way had everything to do with her, asserting her dominance. Ripley boldly stated her intention to defeat every top female competitor in the division, leaving no room for uncertainty.

Ripley’s confidence exuded Mami’s show, making it clear she was prepared to showcase her undeniable supremacy. WWE Crown Jewel promises to be a defining moment for Ripley as she seeks to solidify her status as the most dominant woman on Raw.

In a cryptic video promo, Shinsuke Nakamura left the WWE Universe intrigued about his intentions. The former Intercontinental Champion seemed to be on the hunt for his next adversary, making his message clear: “Poke the lion. That’s what a hero does.” Nakamura’s enigmatic statement raises questions about who he has in his sights and what awaits his next target. Could Nakamura’s pursuit of competition lead to a significant showdown at WWE Crown Jewel?

As the SmackDown roster converges in preparation for the pay-per-view, Nakamura’s quest adds an element of unpredictability to the proceedings. WWE fans are on the edge of their seats, eager to see who will dare cross paths with “The King of Strong Style.”

In a special Halloween-themed bout, Natalya went head-to-head with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green. The Trick or Street Fight was filled with pumpkin-themed weapons, candy corn kendo sticks, and pie-throwing madness. However, it was Natalya who experienced the unpleasant side of this Halloween treat.

Chelsea Green, with her loyal partner, Piper Niven, by her side, utilised every trick in the book. From slamming a pie into Natalya’s face to introducing candy corn as makeshift thumbtacks, Green showcased her cunning creativity in the ring. Despite Natalya’s resilience, Green secured the victory in this festive encounter.

Natalya’s unfortunate experience in the Trick or Street Fight, while entertaining for the WWE Universe, leaves her with a taste of defeat just before WWE Crown Jewel. As the Women’s World Championship scene intensifies, Natalya may have to regroup and reassess her strategy as she eyes future championship opportunities.

WWE Raw’s October 30th episode has set the stage for an electrifying WWE Crown Jewel event. The uncertainty surrounding Damian Priest’s Judgement Day affiliation, DIY’s impactful return to the tag team division, and Rhea Ripley’s quest for dominance all make the upcoming pay-per-view a must-watch spectacle. Stay tuned as the WWE Universe eagerly anticipates the unfolding drama at WWE Crown Jewel.
