3 Reasons Why Edge Vs Rhea Ripley Will Be A Cinematic Match
The PG Era brought a lot of changes to professional wrestling that were previously unheard of. Skin shows, hand signs, chair shots to the head, and “We’ve got 2 words for you” were soon replaced with content that was classified under PG guidelines. Intergender or mixed matches were also silently pushed out of the door. The sight of Chyna gorilla pressing Eddie Guerrero or a similar one these days is rare. Enter 26-year-old chiselled Australian Rhea Ripley. The nightmare is a physical specimen, one that can stand toe to toe with any man or woman. A sight to behold, the nightmare has made it clear that it will be she who writes the final page in the book of one of the most decorated careers in all of entertainment. On that note, here are 3 reasons why Rhea Ripley vs. Edge will be a Cinematic Match:
- The Look: If Vince McMahon liked big, sweaty Women, Mami would be his answer. The nightmare is a freak of nature, carrying around a fully grown Dominik Mysterio like he were still being fought over for his custody. Her height, broad shoulders, and leather attire shout masculinity, and the PG audience would buy into the fact that she can overpower men and thereby defeat them.
- The Faction: The Judgement Day make the cover of WWE PPV, Payback. That’s how a statement is made. The Rated R superstar formed the Judgement Day not so long ago. It was under his watchful supervision that the faction went leaps and bounds and established Mami and Big Damien Priest. Later on, Edge was shunned by his disciples, and they were led by the demon King, Finn Balor. The Canadian was also let down by Dirty Dom, whom he looked after in the locker room while his dad, Rey Mysterio, wrestled against all odds. Dirty Dom broke all strings when he betrayed The ultimate opportunist, and this too becomes a strong reason for Edge to pounce on this troop. This too may have passed if not for Money In The Bank Winner Damian Priest, whose voice alone is enough to scare 10 fully grown lions. If given a chance, he will leave no stone unturned to get his hands on the judgement day and the faction that he propounded.
- She already wrestles men. Rhea Rhipley has never had any problems taking on a man inside the ring. Just look at her Singles match with Akira Tozawa, where she manhandles him, proving further that this too is a walk in the park for Mami. A match against the Rated R superstar is a shot at immortality for her, and should that happen, we would be in store for a high-profile intergender match.
Edge has a score to settle with Mami, and with time not on his side, it would be interesting to see how he moves forward with this scar on his legacy.
